Ironbound Mech
Quickstart
- Open the Creative inventory and find the Ironbound Mech Wand in the Equipment category.
- Move to a spacious area with plenty of room above and around you.
- Hold the wand and use it while aiming at the ground or another solid surface.
- The wand fires a projectile. When it hits, the towering Ironbound Mech appears around the impact point.
- Wait for the large structure to finish assembling before firing again. The wand has a short cooldown of about two seconds.
If the wand is not available in the Creative inventory, use:

Overview
Ironbound Mech adds a towering, block-built mech structure that can be deployed with a special wand. The wand launches a placement shot, allowing you to choose where the mech appears.
The mech is a large static structure rather than a rideable or controllable entity. Use it as a battlefield centerpiece, base landmark, display, or construction project.
What It Adds
- Ironbound Mech Wand — fires the placement projectile.
- Ironbound Mech structure — a very large iron-built mech assembled at the projectile's impact location.
- Placement projectile — triggers the mech's construction when it collides with a surface or target.
How To Use
Deploying the Mech
Aim at the location where you want the structure to be placed and use the Ironbound Mech Wand. The shot travels forward with slight gravity and activates when it hits something.
The mech is placed in a fixed orientation:
- Aim direction chooses the deployment location.
- Aim direction does not rotate the mech.
- The structure extends a considerable distance around and above the impact point.
- The mech is assembled block by block, so allow time for the full structure to appear.
For the cleanest deployment, use a broad, open area and avoid cramped interiors, cliffs, and locations near important builds.
Firing Again
The wand has a cooldown of approximately two seconds. It is designed for repeated placement, but each shot creates another large structure, so leave enough space between deployments.
Crafting And Obtaining
The Ironbound Mech Wand is available directly from the Creative inventory under Equipment. It has no crafting recipe.
The wand's projectile is supplied as part of its firing behavior. In Creative mode, the wand can be used without preparing ordinary ammunition.
Abilities And Mechanics
Wand Projectile
- Fires immediately when the wand is used; it does not require a long draw or charge.
- Travels forward with a small amount of gravity.
- Places the mech when it collides.
- Affects only one collision before disappearing.
- Has a short two-second cooldown between uses.
Impact
The projectile deals no damage. It can apply knockback on impact, but its main purpose is to trigger the mech's placement.
Mech Structure
The Ironbound Mech is made from solid custom blocks with full collision and selection boxes. The structure is not a living mob and does not provide piloting, movement, weapons, or other combat controls.
The mech's component blocks can be mined in roughly 1.5 seconds and are highly vulnerable to explosions, so protect the structure if you are using it as a permanent landmark.
Progression And Strategy
Ironbound Mech has no crafting or upgrade progression. Its gameplay centers on choosing deployment sites and using the finished structure in your world.
- Build a level clearing before deployment.
- Place the mech away from houses, farms, and other structures because of its large footprint.
- Use Creative flight to inspect the completed mech from above.
- Deploy multiple mechs with generous spacing to create a battlefield or defensive skyline.
- Avoid explosions near the mech unless you intend to dismantle it.
