Iron Convoy

Quickstart

1. Gather iron ingots — they unlock the crafting recipes for every vehicle.
2. Craft a placer item at a crafting table (see recipes below).
3. Place the vehicle by using the placer item on the ground like a block.
4. Mount it by pressing the interact button while facing the vehicle (the prompt will say Pilot Attack Helicopter, Drive Battle Tank, etc.).
5. Steer with your movement keys. Press the action button (the same button used to interact) to fire your weapon — or sound the horn if you're in the Transport Humvee.
6. Dismount by sneaking. You can remount any time.

Overview

Iron Convoy adds four fully modeled military vehicles to Minecraft Bedrock. Each vehicle is crafted as a placer item, dropped into the world as a physical entity, and ridden in third-person view. Every vehicle has its own action-bar HUD showing available controls, and each one has a unique primary action — rockets, cannon shells, machine-gun bursts, or a horn.

How To Use

Placing a Vehicle

Hold the crafted placer item and use it on any flat surface. The vehicle entity spawns at that location. Each placer item is single-use, so craft another if you want a second copy.

Mounting and Dismounting

Walk up to the vehicle and press the interact button. The camera switches to third-person and the action-bar HUD appears. To dismount, sneak. The vehicle stays in the world and can be remounted freely.

Driving and Flying

• Ground vehicles (Tank, Transport Humvee, MG Humvee): use movement keys to drive and steer. The Transport Humvee has the highest turn rate and base speed; the Tank is the slowest but toughest.
• Attack Helicopter: uses the same movement keys but moves through the air. It has no gravity while piloted — use look direction combined with movement to navigate vertically and horizontally.

Firing / Action Button

While mounted, press the action button to trigger the vehicle's primary action:

• Helicopter — launches a fast, explosive rocket in your look direction. Has a moderate cooldown between shots.
• Battle Tank — fires a powerful cannon shell in your look direction. Has a longer cooldown.
• MG Humvee — fires a rapid stream of arrows. Very short cooldown, allowing sustained bursts.
• Transport Humvee — plays a deep bass horn sound and shows "Convoy transport horn" on the action bar. No weapon.

All projectiles are fired from your viewpoint in the direction you are looking, so aim by pointing your camera.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft each vehicle's placer item at a crafting table. The recipes unlock automatically when you pick up the key ingredient listed below.

Military Transport Humvee

Unlocks when you pick up an iron ingot.

Military Attack Helicopter

Unlocks when you pick up an iron ingot.

Military Battle Tank

Unlocks when you pick up an iron block.

Military MG Humvee

Unlocks when you pick up a crossbow. Requires a crafted Transport Humvee placer as a central ingredient — craft the Transport Humvee first.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Third-person camera: each vehicle has its own camera radius, so the helicopter pulls the camera out the furthest, giving the widest view, while the Humvees sit closer.
• Vehicle health: vehicles can take damage. The Tank is the most durable (120 HP), followed by the MG Humvee (85), Transport Humvee (75), and Helicopter (70).
• Pushable: all vehicles can be nudged by pistons or other forces while unmounted.
• Nameable: you can rename any vehicle with a name tag.
• No natural spawning: vehicles never spawn on their own — you must craft and place them.

Progression And Strategy

1. Start with the Transport Humvee. It is the cheapest vehicle and requires only common materials (iron, glass, chest, redstone, black wool). It is also a required crafting ingredient for the MG Humvee.
2. Upgrade to the MG Humvee once you have a crossbow. It adds rapid-fire capability and more health while keeping the fast ground movement of the Humvee chassis.
3. Build the Attack Helicopter for aerial mobility and explosive rockets. A compass is the key ingredient, so get your iron supply established first.
4. Craft the Battle Tank last — it demands iron blocks in quantity and has the longest weapon cooldown, but its 120 HP makes it the most resilient vehicle for sustained engagements.
5. Use the helicopter for reconnaissance and area denial with its rockets, then follow up with the Tank for durable frontline presence or the MG Humvee for speed and suppression.
