Infernal Emberfang

Quickstart

• Find Emberfangs roaming the Overworld, or use an Emberfang spawn egg from the Creative inventory’s Spawn Eggs tab.
• Hold a fire charge and use it on an untamed Emberfang to try to tame it. Each attempt consumes a fire charge (except in Creative mode), and succeeds with a 1-in-3 chance.
• Once tamed, it starts sitting. Interact with it to switch between sitting and following, then bring it along as a wolf companion in battle.

Overview

The Infernal Emberfang is a black-and-crimson, fireproof wolf. It keeps familiar wolf behavior while offering a different taming item and a powerful attack.

What It Adds

• A tameable Emberfang that can spawn naturally in the Overworld, in groups of 1–6.
• An Emberfang spawn egg, available in the Creative inventory.

How To Use

Use fire charges on an untamed Emberfang until it becomes yours. Bones do not tame Emberfangs. A successful tame makes it sit; interact with your tamed Emberfang to toggle sitting or following.

Crafting And Obtaining

Emberfangs can be found naturally in the Overworld. In Creative mode, you can also place one with its spawn egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Fire immunity: Emberfangs are immune to fire.
• Strong fighter: It has 24 health and deals 28 attack damage.
• Breeding: Feed magma cream to two tamed Emberfangs that are ready to breed. Their offspring is another Emberfang.

Progression And Strategy

Bring several fire charges when taming: each attempt has a 1-in-3 chance of success, and unsuccessful attempts still use a charge. Once tamed, use its sit/follow behavior to keep it close when you want a companion or parked safely.
