Overview
Hordes Of The Overworld is a Raven Creek survival story about defending a safehouse, helping survivors, and hunting down threats. Campaign progress is tracked per player. Zombie hordes arrive periodically during some objectives, and Ellis’s story leads to seven named enemies.
What It Adds
- Firearms, ammunition, and the Camp Machete.
- A Field Journal that displays your current campaign objective.
- A ballistic vest, patrol helmet, and field boots.
- Story missions from Ellis and optional contracts from four survivors.
- Commands to create Raven Creek’s safehouse and survivor districts.
How To Use
Firearms: Aim at a target and use the gun. Shots travel in a straight line and can hit living targets within the weapon’s range. A block in the way stops the shot. Guns have magazines and cooldowns; keep the correct ammunition in your inventory and sneak-use the gun to reload.
Field Journal: Use it in hand to display your current story objective. /apocalypse status shows the same progress.
Create the districts: These commands build structures around your current position:
| Command | What it creates |
|---|---|
/apocalypse town | The safehouse and Ellis. |
/apocalypse city | A survivor district with Dax and Nora. |
/apocalypse abandoned | A damaged district with Rook and Mara. |
Interact with a named survivor to accept their contract, then return with the requested items to claim the reward.

Abilities And Mechanics
- A newly obtained firearm starts with a full magazine. In Survival, each shot uses a loaded round.
- Sneak-use reloads the held firearm using compatible ammunition from your inventory. It loads as many rounds as your available ammunition allows.
- Zombie hordes arrive periodically during the road, medicine, and last-stand objectives. Expect a larger wave during the last stand.
- The Scavenger Ballistic Vest, Patrol Helmet, and Field Boots equip in their corresponding armor slots. The Camp Machete is a melee weapon.
Progression And Strategy
Ellis’s campaign proceeds in this order:
- Clear the road: Defeat 8 zombies, then bring Ellis 8 rotten flesh for medicine.
- Last stand: Defeat 12 more zombies. Surviving earns a Hunting Rifle and 24 rounds, and opens the named-threat missions.
- Hunt the threats: Talk to Ellis to draw out each target. The order is The Gatebreaker, The Butcher, The Siren, The Houndmaster, The Switchman, The Bellwether, and finally the Raven King. Follow Ellis’s journal lead and the coordinates he provides to find each fortified site. Defeat the current target and return to Ellis for the next lead. The Raven King’s fight grows more dangerous near its end.
- Finish the story: Defeating the Raven King restores Raven Creek’s evacuation signal. Use
/apocalypse resetto replay the story.
Survivor contracts offer more equipment:
| Survivor | Contract | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Dax, the Quartermaster | Bring 6 iron ingots. | Scavenger Ballistic Vest |
| Nora, the Archivist | Bring 12 paper. | Marksman Carbine and 16 rounds |
| Rook, the Radio Operator | Bring 5 redstone. | Breach Shotgun and 12 shells |
| Mara, the Medic | Bring 8 rotten flesh. | 24 rounds |
Carry ammunition that matches your firearm and reload before a horde arrives. Longer-range guns let you thin out threats before they close in. Use the journal or /apocalypse status to keep track of your current objective.
