Quickstart

1. Gather a full set of netherite armor and a stack of emerald blocks.
2. Open a regular crafting table and craft all four Village Hero armor pieces (recipes below).
3. Equip all four pieces at once — helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
4. The moment you wear the complete set, you'll see the message "Village Hero Armor awakened: villager trades are now 90% off permanently." — your Hero status is now locked in forever.

Overview

Hero Of The Village Armor adds a single, incredibly powerful armor set: the Village Hero set. Styled in an emerald-and-gold theme, it wraps netherite craftsmanship in enchanted emerald blocks to create the most protective gear available. Beyond raw defense, it permanently transforms how you interact with villagers, granting a lifelong 90% discount on all trades once you wear the full set even once.

What It Adds

Each piece has a custom icon and worn texture, and every item is unbreakable — it will never lose durability.

All four pieces are crafted at a standard crafting table. Each recipe wraps the corresponding netherite armor piece in emerald blocks.

Per-Piece Benefits

Each individual piece worn provides:

• Protection XX — extreme damage reduction on every hit, far beyond anything standard armor offers.
• The piece is unbreakable, so it lasts forever without repairs.

Full Set Benefits

Wearing all four pieces simultaneously continuously grants:

• Resistance V — massive reduction in all incoming damage on top of the armor's base protection.
• Fire Resistance — complete immunity to fire and lava damage.
• Custom enchanted lore is permanently written onto each piece, displaying: Custom Enchanted, Protection XX, and Permanent Hero Trade Discount: 90% off.

Permanent Hero Status

The first time you wear the complete four-piece set, you unlock a permanent Hero tag that stays with your player forever — even if you later remove the armor. This tag causes the Hero of the Village effect (level 10) to be silently refreshed every minute for the rest of your playthrough, resulting in a permanent 90% discount on all villager trades with no particles or visible effect spam.

Progression And Strategy

• Prerequisite: A full netherite armor set and a significant supply of emerald blocks are required. Reach the Nether, obtain ancient debris, and farm or trade for emeralds before targeting this set.
• One-time unlock: You only need to wear the full set once to permanently earn the Hero discount. After that, the 90% trade discount persists even when you swap to different armor.
• Enchanting: All four pieces have a high enchantability value, meaning you can further enhance them at an enchanting table for even more bonuses on top of the built-in Protection XX.
• Trade economy: With a permanent 90% discount, mass-purchasing from librarians, weaponsmiths, tool smiths, and other villagers becomes extremely cheap. Consider setting up a large trading hall to take full advantage of the discount.
• Endgame combat: The combination of Protection XX, Resistance V, and Fire Resistance makes the wearer nearly invulnerable. This set is best suited as an endgame reward after completing most other progression goals.
