Hcp
Quickstart
- Find HCP in the End, or use the Hcp Spawn Egg in Creative.
- With cheats enabled, you can summon it with
/summon com_hcp_eylvqyrd:mycustom. - Try fighting it in an open area: HCP hovers, attacks on its own, and can disguise itself as another monster. Keep an eye on your health—when you’re badly hurt, its disguise can end in an ambush.
Overview
HCP is a flying End encounter with 40 health (20 hearts). It hunts players, attacks from a distance, and can call other hostile mobs into the fight. It spawns alone.
What It Adds
- One mob: HCP
- One Creative spawn egg: Hcp Spawn Egg
- No crafting recipes
HCP can naturally spawn in the End at elevations from Y=61 to Y=320. It isn’t restricted to dark areas.
How To Use
There are no special controls or items required: HCP’s attacks and disguises happen automatically when it detects a player. For a first encounter, fight somewhere with room to move and a clear view; breaking line of sight can interrupt its ability to act.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Magic attack: HCP can deal 8 damage to a player within 18 blocks if it has a clear line of sight.
- Dive and summon: It swoops at close range, dealing 4 damage if it connects, then attempts to summon 2–3 hostile mobs near the player.
- Monster disguise: When HCP is above half health, it may spawn a hostile mob as a decoy and turn invisible. The disguise can last up to 24 seconds.
- Ambush when you’re weak: While disguised, HCP reforms if its health drops to 45% or less, its decoy disappears, or the disguise timer ends. It also reforms early if a nearby player’s health is 35% or less. When it reforms, it removes the decoy and spawns three hostile mobs near its target.
Its disguises and summons can draw from mobs including zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, witches, phantoms, endermen, blazes, ghasts, and other hostile types.
Progression And Strategy
There’s no separate progression path; the encounter is about spotting HCP’s attacks and managing the mobs it brings in. Keep your health high to avoid triggering its early ambush, use cover to break its line of sight, and watch for the moment it reforms before focusing your attacks on HCP.
When killed by a player, HCP drops 1–2 slime balls. Looting may add a slime ball, and HCP has a chance to drop an ender pearl.
