Quickstart

1. Find the mod’s food items in the Creative inventory, or begin by hunting, foraging, and farming.
2. Plant any of the mod’s seeds on farmland. Harvest mature crops to collect produce and more seeds.
3. Hunt animals and collect their distinct raw meat drops, such as Raw Venison, Raw Duck, Raw Bison, or Raw Goose.
4. Cook raw meat in a furnace, smoker, blast furnace, or campfire. Smelters and smokers cook these foods faster than a furnace, while campfires require no fuel.
5. Try a prepared dish such as Vegetable Soup, Fruit Salad, or Hearty Stew.

Overview

Harvest Table expands Minecraft’s food system with a wide range of fruits, vegetables, meat cuts, and prepared meals. Explore the world for food, establish a farm for reliable produce, and turn raw hunting drops into cooked meals.

The mod includes:

• 20 farmable crops
• 15 raw meat and meat-product types
• Cooked versions of the raw meats
• Cheese and several crafted meals
• Furnace, smoker, blast-furnace, and campfire cooking recipes

What It Adds

Fruits and vegetables

Plant the matching seed to grow its crop. Mature crops provide their associated produce and can provide seeds for continuing the farm.

Hunting and meat

Harvest Table provides separate raw cuts and cooked foods for a variety of land, water, and flying animals:

How To Use

Farming

1. Obtain a crop’s matching seeds.
2. Till soil into farmland near water.
3. Place the seeds on the farmland.
4. Wait for the crop to mature.
5. Harvest the crop and replant seeds as needed.

Keep a selection of crops growing so you always have ingredients for soups, salads, tarts, stews, and stuffed vegetables.

Cooking meat

Place raw meat in any of the supported cooking stations:

• Furnace: standard cooking
• Smoker: fast food cooking
• Blast furnace: fast cooking
• Campfire: cooks without fuel

Raw Bacon becomes Bacon, Raw Sausage becomes Sausage, and each other raw meat produces its matching cooked version. The cooking recipes are grouped below by ingredient.

Basic ingredients

Cheese is made from a Milk Bucket:

Honey Toast combines Bread with a Honey Bottle:

Crafting is shapeless, so the ingredients can be placed in any arrangement.

Berry Tart uses Wheat, Sugar, Blueberry, Strawberry, and Raspberry, producing two tarts:

Fruit Salad uses a Bowl, Peach, Grape, Strawberry, and Blueberry:

Vegetable Soup uses a Bowl, Tomato, Lettuce, and Onion:

Stuffed Pepper uses a Bell Pepper, Bread, Cheese, and Onion:

Hearty Stew uses a Bowl, Cooked Elk, Sweet Potato, Broccoli, and Onion:

Abilities And Mechanics

• Foraging: Collect the mod’s fruits and vegetables while exploring, then use their seeds to establish renewable farms.
• Crop cycling: Mature crops yield food, and harvested crops can provide seeds for future planting.
• Distinct meat drops: Hunting produces different raw foods instead of one generic meat category.
• Multiple cooking stations: Use a furnace, smoker, blast furnace, or campfire to prepare the mod’s raw meat.
• Meal preparation: Combine farm produce, cooked meat, dairy, and familiar Minecraft ingredients into complete dishes.
• Food variety: Keep several food types available instead of relying on one crop or meat source.

Progression And Strategy

1. Start with farming. Grow quick-to-replace crops such as berries, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, or corn.
2. Build a cooking setup. A furnace handles general cooking, while a smoker or blast furnace is useful when processing many raw cuts.
3. Store raw drops separately. Keep raw meat for cooking and preserve cooked portions for travel.
4. Grow ingredients in groups. Plant berries for Berry Tart, fruit crops for Fruit Salad, and vegetables for Vegetable Soup or Hearty Stew.
5. Use valuable meat in meals. Cooked Elk can be turned into Hearty Stew, while Cheese and Bell Pepper combine into Stuffed Pepper.
6. Maintain seed reserves. Do not consume every seed from a harvest; save enough to keep each crop growing.
