Golden Village Guardian

Quickstart

1. Get a Golden Village Guardian Spawn Egg from the creative inventory and use it to spawn your guardian, or simply let it happen naturally — any villager that comes near you will automatically transform into a Golden Village Guardian and bond with you.
2. Walk up to the guardian and interact with it to open its menu.
3. Bring an emerald to trade for gear, or just ask for a free gift of golden armor.
4. Ask it to build you a house or open up a mineshaft on the spot.
5. Keep it nearby — it fights for you and will teleport to your side if you wander too far away.

Overview

The Golden Village Guardian is a loyal companion that replaces villagers in the world, bonding with the nearest player. It acts as a personal trader, gift-giver, builder, and combat protector all in one. Once bonded, it follows you across dimensions, defends you from nearby threats, and offers useful services through a simple menu.

What It Adds

• Golden Village Guardian — a friendly, unkillable NPC that bonds with a player and defends them.
• Golden Guardian Spawn Egg — spawns the guardian directly.
• Golden Guardian armor set (Top, Bottom, Boots) — a lightweight, enchantable armor set given as a gift.
• Golden Emerald Sword — a strong enchantable weapon obtainable through trade.
• Guardian Backpack — a durable storage item, comes bundled with a bonus shulker box.

How To Use

Interacting with the guardian opens a menu with the following options:

• Trade: Emerald Sword — costs 1 emerald, grants a Golden Emerald Sword.
• Trade: Guardian Backpack — costs 1 emerald, grants a Guardian Backpack plus a shulker box.
• Gift: Golden armor set — free full set of Golden Guardian armor (top, bottom, boots).
• Build a village house — the guardian raises a small cobblestone-and-oak house near your location, complete with a door.
• Build a mineshaft — the guardian carves out a supported tunnel entrance beneath you, framed with fences and planks.
• Encouragement — the guardian offers a friendly message hinting at future rewards for good behavior.

While a guardian is nearby, an on-screen message reminds you that you can interact with it for trading, building, or support.

Crafting And Obtaining

Most guardian gear can be earned for free or traded through the guardian's menu, but the sword and backpack can also be crafted directly:

Golden armor pieces (Top, Bottom, Boots) are obtained only as a gift from the guardian's menu — they cannot be crafted.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Bonding: Any nearby villager transforms into a Golden Village Guardian and bonds with the closest player automatically. You can also summon one directly with its spawn egg.
• Loyalty: The guardian will teleport to stay close to its bonded player if it ever falls too far behind, even across dimensions.
• Invulnerability: The guardian cannot be harmed — its health is fully restored the instant it takes damage.
• Guardian Strike: The guardian periodically damages any hostile creatures or entities that wander too close to it, helping keep you safe.
• Gear: Golden armor and the Emerald Sword are enchantable, giving you room to further upgrade your guardian-provided equipment.

Progression And Strategy

Early on, trade an emerald for the Guardian Backpack to get extra storage (including a free shulker box), or grab the free golden armor set to boost your defenses without any cost. As you explore, use the "Build a village house" and "Build a mineshaft" options to quickly establish a base or a mining route wherever you are. Keep your guardian close by for passive protection against hostile mobs, and check back with it periodically — being a good player around your village may unlock extra rewards over time.
