Golden Hearts Dimension

Quickstart

1. Craft a Heart Crystal (you'll need several) and a Golden Date Planner.
2. Craft a Golden Heart Portal block and place it in the world — right-clicking it opens the main menu.
3. From the menu, choose Open Golden Hearts Portal to generate a Heart Grove village with four Golden Heart NPCs, or choose Summon Adult Golden Heart NPC to spawn one nearby.
4. With an NPC close by, choose Talk or Flirt to build affection. At 12 affection, choose Ask on a Date to begin a timed date.
5. Stay near the NPC during the date — watch the action-bar progress. Complete it to earn Heart Crystals and world food rewards.

Overview

Golden Hearts Dimension is a social simulation add-on. You meet and build relationships with Golden Heart NPCs — unique villager-style characters — through conversation, flirting, and gifting. Reach enough affection and take them on dates to earn special rewards. The mod also adds a suite of custom foods, decorative blocks, and placeable structures (a World Cuisine Restaurant and a Golden Heart Village) to enrich the experience.

How To Use

The Main Menu

Use (right-click / interact with) the Golden Date Planner or a placed Golden Heart Portal block to open the interaction menu. The menu shows the nearest NPC's name, affection level (out of 100), and relationship status.

Available actions:

• Talk — +3 affection, spawns heart particles, NPC shares a line of dialogue
• Flirt — +6 affection, spawns heart particles, respectful playful interaction
• Give Heart Crystal — Consumes 1 Heart Crystal from your inventory for +10 affection
• Ask on a Date — Starts a timed date (requires 12 affection and no active date)
• Place World Cuisine Restaurant — Generates a restaurant structure near you
• Open Golden Hearts Portal — Generates a Heart Grove biome pocket, a Golden Heart Village, and spawns four named NPCs
• Summon Adult Golden Heart NPC — Spawns a random named NPC beside you

Dates

• You must have at least 12 affection with an NPC to ask them on a date.
• Once started, a progress bar appears in the action bar. Stay within ~24 blocks of the NPC — wandering too far fails the date.
• Successfully completing a date rewards +12 affection (plus bonus score), 2 Heart Crystals, a Sushi Roll, a Taco Plate, and a Curry Bowl.
• Only one date can be active at a time.

NPC Rivalries

If multiple Golden Heart NPCs are interested in you and come within 6 blocks of each other, they may enter a rivalry — turning hostile toward each other and brawling for up to 8 seconds before calming down. Keep your NPCs separated to avoid this.

Tip: Heart Crystals are the bottleneck resource. You'll need them for gifting NPCs, crafting the portal, and crafting the Golden Heart Block. Stockpile redstone and gold nuggets early.

Abilities And Mechanics

Affection System

Each NPC tracks a personal affection score with you from 0–100. Actions that raise affection:

Heart Particles

Both Talk and Flirt (and gifting) spawn heart particles at the NPC's location as a visual confirmation.

Portal Block Behavior

When placed and interacted with, the Golden Heart Portal block triggers the same portal-opening sequence as the menu option — generating a Heart Grass-floored area, placing a Golden Heart Village structure, and spawning four named NPCs.

Progression And Strategy

1. Early game: Craft Heart Crystals first. They unlock gifting, the portal, and the Golden Heart Block.
2. Craft the Golden Date Planner to open the menu anywhere, then use Open Golden Hearts Portal or Summon Adult Golden Heart NPC to meet your first NPC.
3. Build affection quickly by combining Talk (+3), Flirt (+6), and Heart Crystal gifts (+10). You only need 12 to start your first date.
4. Complete dates to earn a steady supply of Heart Crystals and all five world foods passively.
5. Manage rivalry risk — if you summon multiple NPCs, space them out. A rivalry brawl only lasts 8 seconds but can deplete NPC health (they have 24 HP).
6. Place a World Cuisine Restaurant near your base to have a themed date location and keep your NPCs close during timed dates.
7. Golden Heart Blocks make great decorative builds once you have surplus Heart Crystals — combine with Heart Grass from the Heart Grove biome pocket for a thematic home.
