Golden Chrono Rewind

Quickstart

Craft a Golden Chronowatch at a crafting table, then select it and use it. Stay in the world for about five seconds first so it has a recent moment to return to.

The recipe uses gold ingots, a clock, and a Nether Star; see the full layout under Crafting and Obtaining.

Overview

The Golden Chronowatch lets you rewind your own recent state by about five seconds. It can also rewind some nearby non-player entities and retrieve recently dropped items. It does not rewind the world itself: blocks and ordinary inventory changes are not undone.

How To Use

1. Select the Golden Chronowatch in your hotbar and use it.
2. Your rewind happens immediately, with a brief particle effect.
3. Wait 30 seconds before using it again.

The watch needs a recorded moment from your current dimension. If you have just entered the world, wait about five seconds before trying it.

Abilities and Mechanics

A rewind restores your position, facing, movement, health, and hunger state to roughly five seconds earlier. It also affects eligible non-player entities within five blocks of where you used the watch, returning them to their recorded position and motion; fuse state is restored for entities that have one. Other players are not rewound.

Dropped items spawned in the last five seconds may be pulled into your inventory if they are still within 12 blocks of your starting position. If your inventory is full, leftover items appear near you instead.

Progression and Strategy

The Nether Star makes the watch a late-game craft. Once you have it, try the watch after taking damage or moving away from a spot to see how its rewind affects your health and position. Remember that it cannot restore blocks or reverse regular inventory changes.
