Quickstart

1. Open your crafting table — the recipe is unlocked as soon as you join a world.
2. Craft Goku Black's Scythe using the recipe below.
3. Hold the scythe in your main hand and left-click any mob or player to attack.
4. Watch for the arc of dark portal particles that tears through the air between you and your target on every hit.

Overview

Goku Black's Scythe is a single, powerful divine weapon inspired by the anime villain's iconic energy scythe. It hits harder than a netherite sword, tears visible rifts in space on every strike, and carries a permanent enchanted shimmer — no enchanting required. It lives in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory and can be crafted in Survival.

What It Adds

Abilities And Mechanics

Massive damage The scythe is built on the netherite sword base and adds a large flat damage bonus on top, making each swing deal significantly more damage than any standard tool.

Slower swing speed The extra power comes at the cost of attack speed. The scythe swings slower than a netherite sword, so timing your strikes matters.

Space rift particle arc Every time you attack, an arc of Reverse Portal (dark swirling) particles traces a curved path from your position to your target — visually recreating the rift-tearing effect of the scythe.

On-hit burst When a hit lands, an additional burst of Reverse Portal and Soul Fire Flame particles erupts around the target, accompanied by a custom energy scythe sweep sound effect.

Permanent enchanted glint The item glimmers with an enchantment sheen at all times, regardless of whether any enchantments are actually applied.

Divine tooltip Inspecting the scythe in your inventory displays three lines of flavour text:

• Forged from divine Ki energy (dark purple)
• Tears rifts in space on impact (light purple)
• "This pain will make you beautiful." (grey, italic)

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically unlocked the moment you load into a world. Craft it at any crafting table:

Progression And Strategy

• The scythe's high damage per hit makes it ideal for fighting tough single targets such as bosses, withers, or heavily armoured players — where each landed blow counts more than attack speed.
• Its slower swing speed means you should let your attack cooldown fully recharge before striking for maximum damage output.
• The particle and sound effects are purely visual/audio and do not apply status effects, so pair the scythe with enchantments like Fire Aspect or Looting to add utility on top of its raw power.
• Netherite Ingots are the most expensive ingredient; gather your Ancient Debris before setting out to craft this weapon.
