Quickstart

1. Open your crafting table — the recipe is unlocked as soon as you join a world.
2. Craft the Gods Blade using the recipe below and place it in your main hand.
3. Attack any mob or player as you would with a normal sword. Enjoy the carnage.

Overview

Gods Blade adds a single, supremely powerful divine sword to the game. It is built from some of the rarest materials in Minecraft and delivers damage so far beyond any vanilla weapon that nearly any foe will fall in one or two hits. The blade carries a permanent enchanted glow and is built on a Netherite foundation, giving it the same exceptional durability as Netherite tools.

What It Adds

• Damage: Adds 1000 extra attack damage on top of the base Netherite sword value — effectively a one-hit-kill against any standard enemy.
• Attack Speed: Fast swing speed (only −1.0 penalty, faster than a standard sword).
• Enchanted Glow: Always displays the enchantment shimmer effect, even without any enchantments applied.
• Stack Size: 1 (cannot be stacked).
• Creative Tab: Found under the Combat tab in Creative Mode.

Crafting And Obtaining

The crafting recipe is automatically unlocked the moment you load into a world — no prerequisites required. Gather the ingredients and head to a crafting table.

Ingredients:

• 4× Diamond
• 2× Nether Star
• 1× Enchanted Golden Apple
• 1× Blaze Rod

Abilities And Mechanics

• Massive Damage: The Gods Blade deals devastating damage, far exceeding any other weapon in vanilla Minecraft. Most mobs will not survive a single strike.
• Fast Attack: With only a −1.0 attack speed penalty (compared to −2.4 for axes or −1.8 for standard swords), you can swing again quickly after each hit.
• Permanent Glint: The blade always shimmers with an enchanted glow, giving it a visually distinct divine appearance regardless of whether enchantments are applied.
• Netherite Durability: Built with Netherite-tier material, it has exceptional durability and will last an extremely long time under normal use.
• Sword Tag: Counts as a sword for all game mechanics — it benefits from sword-related enchantments and interacts with sword-specific game systems normally.

Progression And Strategy

• The Gods Blade is a late-game crafting goal. Nether Stars require defeating the Wither, Blaze Rods come from Blazes in Nether Fortresses, and Enchanted Golden Apples are rare loot found in dungeon chests. Gathering all the ingredients is a significant journey through the game.
• Once crafted, the blade effectively removes the challenge of combat for any standard encounter. Consider saving it for boss fights, the End, or PvP scenarios where overwhelming force is the goal.
• Apply enchantments such as Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, or Unbreaking to push its performance even further — it accepts all standard sword enchantments.
• Since durability is Netherite-tier, routine repairs with a Netherite Ingot on an anvil will keep it in perfect condition indefinitely.
