Gloomwood Home And Hearth

Quickstart

  1. Craft a few starter pieces at a crafting table, such as a Gothic Velvet Chair, Gloomwood Storage Cabinet, and Moonlight Lamp. Recipe references are in Crafting And Obtaining.
  2. Select an item and use it on a block to place it. Leave a clear 3×3 area for the Coffin Loveseat.
  3. Use most non-light furnishings while sneaking to turn them. Use a lamp to open its settings instead.
  4. Use storage furniture to open its menu, then choose Store held stack or Withdraw. Use a lamp to adjust its light, and use a fireplace to turn its flame on or off.

Overview

Gloomwood Home And Hearth is a gothic, enchanted-forest furnishing and lighting add-on. Its dark wood, black stone, jewel colors, ravens, moons, crystals, and vines suit houses, castles, gardens, and forest paths.

Place furnishings from your inventory, then break and replace them to move them elsewhere. Many pieces can be turned to face a different direction.

What It Adds

  • Furniture and decor: Gothic Velvet Chair, Coffin Loveseat, Raven Bookcase, Crescent Moon Rug, Gothic Vanity, and several storage pieces.
  • Lighting: Moonlight Lamp, Witchlight Lantern, Bedside Crystal Lamp, Starlight Lamp, Batlight Lamp, Skullfire Lamp, Enchanted Roselight, Emerald Path Light, and candle and crystal chandeliers.
  • Hearth and fittings: Blackstone Hearth, Emberstone Fireplace, Gothic Moon Door, and Enchanted Thorn Gate.
  • Outdoor details: Crescent Creek Bridge, Moonstone Creek Step, Enchanted Thorn Fence, Gloamroot Vine, and Ravenbough Branch.

How To Use

Furniture and storage

Use a storage piece to open its menu. Choose Store held stack to store the stack in your selected hotbar slot, or Withdraw to take out a stored stack. Storage pieces can hold up to 27 stack entries. Cabinets, the Raven Bookcase, the Gothic Vanity, and the Raven Lockbox use this menu.

The Coffin Loveseat is a larger placement: leave a clear 3×3 area before placing it.

Lights and switches

Use a Gloomwood light to open its settings. You can turn it on or off; choose turquoise, purple, magenta, emerald, or dark red; set a soft or bright glow; and select steady, slow blink, soft pulse, or color cycle.

For redstone control, enable Redstone sync in the light’s settings and place a redstone signal source next to it. The Enchanted Light Control Plate toggles nearby lights and fireplaces when used; keep fixtures close to the plate.

Fireplaces, doors, and clock

  • Use the Blackstone Hearth or Emberstone Fireplace to toggle its flame.
  • Use the Gothic Moon Door or Enchanted Thorn Gate to open or close it.
  • Use the Raven Clock to show the current world time.
