Quickstart

• For a fast start, browse Nature in the Creative inventory for the garden plants and tree seeds. Place plants wherever you want to decorate.
• To grow a Starbloom or Chromawisp tree, craft its seeds, place them on Umbra Loam, grass, dirt, or podzol, and leave the space above clear. The sapling grows on its own when conditions allow.
• Make a Gloam Lantern with Moonbell Blooms and an amethyst shard, then place it for a strong source of light.

Overview

Gloamroot Garden is a collection of gothic fantasy plants, glowing foliage, and unusual trees in dark and vivid colors. Use its plants to decorate gardens, paths, and interiors, or add patches of colored light to darker builds.

What It Adds

How To Use

Place the flowers, ground cover, fungi, leaves, bark, and Umbra Loam as decorative blocks. Several of the plants and foliage emit light, so they can also brighten a garden or cave-themed build.

The Gloam Lantern is a placeable light block. Its light emission is 15, making it the brightest light source in the set.

Crafting And Obtaining

The two seed recipes are shapeless and each produces 2 seeds. Use a crafting table:

• Starbloom Seeds: oak sapling, amethyst shard, and glow ink sac:
• Chromawisp Seeds: oak sapling, amethyst shard, glow ink sac, and crimson fungus:

Place either seed to plant its matching sapling. The Gloam Lantern recipe uses four Moonbell Blooms and one amethyst shard:

Abilities And Mechanics

Starbloom and Chromawisp saplings grow automatically when planted on Umbra Loam, grass, dirt, or podzol. Growth can take time. Keep the space above the sapling clear: it needs up to 11 blocks of clearance for its tree to grow.

Progression And Strategy

There is no special progression required to explore the garden. Try combining the darker foliage with glowing blooms, or use the Gloam Lantern to light paths and gathering spots. For tree growth, choose an open planting spot with suitable soil and enough room above it.
