Quickstart
New arrivals begin on Earth. Craft an Odyssey Shuttle:
Prepare Stellar Fuel Cells for travel, Oxygen Canisters for exploration away from Earth, and a Stellar Atlas to choose destinations; their recipes are below. Then:
- Use the Shuttle item to deploy a ship in front of you. It starts with 12 fuel.
- Right-click the ship with an empty hand to board.
- Steer with WASD. Hold Space to ascend; release it to descend. Press Shift to dismount.
- Use the Atlas while off the ship to select a destination, then use it again while aboard to travel there. Each trip costs 1 fuel.
- Carry Oxygen Canisters when leaving the shuttle on another world.
Overview
Galactic Odyssey is about flying between destinations in a shuttle, managing fuel for each trip, and surviving away from Earth. You can explore on foot, but the shuttle protects its rider from planetary hazards.

The Oxygen Canister and Stellar Fuel Cell recipes each produce 2 items. The Field Guide is optional.
Flying and Navigation
- Board: Right-click the deployed shuttle with an empty hand.
- Steer and climb: Use WASD to steer and hold Space to ascend. Releasing Space lets the shuttle descend.
- Leave the shuttle: Press Shift.
- Refuel: Right-click the shuttle while holding a Stellar Fuel Cell. Each cell adds 4 fuel, up to 64.
- Choose a destination: While not aboard, use the Stellar Atlas to cycle to the next destination. It displays the selected destination.
- Travel: While aboard, use the Atlas to travel to its selected destination. Each trip consumes 1 fuel. Without fuel, the shuttle cannot travel.
A newly crafted shuttle starts with 12 fuel. An Atlas starts with Earth selected, so using it once while off the shuttle selects the Moon.
Destinations and Survival
The Atlas cycles through Mercury, Venus, Earth, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, the Sun, and Solar Space.
Away from Earth, being outside the shuttle without an active Oxygen Canister’s protection causes periodic damage. The Sun is especially hazardous. Aboard the shuttle, you are protected from these hazards. Bring spare canisters for longer excursions; a canister won’t activate while its protection is already active.
How to install
This Java mod can be used on Windows and Mac PCs with the CreativeMode Launcher or any Minecraft launcher of your choice.
