Overview
Galactic Gardeners is an exploration and plant-survey adventure set in the Stardust Frontier. It’s one connected alien dimension with several distinct regions, each with its own terrain and plants. The Frontier stays at night, and ordinary mob spawning is suppressed during expeditions.
What It Adds
| Content | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Stardust Frontier | Explore Luna, Kepler, Mars, Vega, and Andromeda landscapes. Region names appear as you travel through them. |
| Four alien plants | Find and break Starbloom, Comet Fern, Nebula Lotus, and Orbit Reed to record field samples. |
| Nova and Sprig | Chat with the botanists at the landing area for advice, field-guide counts, and a survey reward. |
| Planetary Field Rover | Ride across the Frontier and scan for plants nearby. |
| Botanist’s Rocket Launcher | Fire Garden Rockets at targets; impacts deal damage, knock targets back, and explode without causing fire. |
How To Use
Travel with the Star Map
Use the Star Map to open the travel menu. Choose Enter Stardust Frontier to begin an expedition, or Return home when you’re inside the Frontier. A crafted Starship Rocket opens the same travel menu.
Find and record plants
Look for the region names to get your bearings:
| Region | Plants to look for |
|---|---|
| Luna’s Starbloom Meadow | Starbloom, Comet Fern |
| Kepler Aurora Fernlands | Starbloom, Comet Fern |
| Mars Red Dunes | Starbloom, Comet Fern |
| Vega System: Nebula Orchard | Nebula Lotus, Orbit Reed |
| Andromeda System: Ring Gardens | Nebula Lotus, Orbit Reed |
Break any of the four alien plants to record a field sample. Your on-screen total updates, and each botanist can show your count for every species.
Talk to the botanists
Interact with Nova or Sprig near the landing area. They share expedition advice and display your field-guide progress. Their survey goal is eight plants total and at least one of each species.
Drive and scan with the rover
Use the Planetary Field Rover placer on a block to spawn the rover and mount it. Drive with your normal movement controls; crouch to dismount. While aboard, the on-screen Tap: Plant Scan action checks for alien plants in the nearby area. The scan reports its count and has a short cooldown.
Use the rocket launcher
Equip the Botanist’s Rocket Launcher and use it to fire. Garden Rockets can be held in your inventory or offhand. Rockets explode on impact and can knock targets back.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft these items at a crafting table. Recipe images can be opened for the full ingredient layout.
| Item | Recipe |
|---|---|
| Star Map | |
| Starship Rocket — another way to open the travel menu | |
| Planetary Field Rover placer | |
| Botanist’s Rocket Launcher | |
| Garden Rockets — yields 16 | |
| Starbloom — a placeable plant block |
The Star Map and four Garden Rockets are supplied on your first spawn. The rover placer remains available after use, so you can use it again to place another rover.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Plant samples are tracked per player. Breaking one of the four species increases your total and that species’ count.
- Botanist reward: Once you have at least eight total samples and have sampled all four species, talk to a botanist to receive eight Garden Rockets. The reward is given once.
- Plant Scan checks the blocks around the rover and reports how many alien plants it finds nearby.
- Garden Rockets deal impact damage and knockback, followed by an explosion. They do not cause fire.
Progression And Strategy
Start with a Star Map trip and talk to Nova or Sprig before setting out. Gather Starbloom and Comet Fern in the Luna, Kepler, or Mars regions, then search Vega and Andromeda for Nebula Lotus and Orbit Reed. Keep checking your field-guide counts so you know which species you still need; return to the botanists after reaching eight samples and completing the collection.
