Fuse
Quickstart
- In Creative, find the Fuse Spawn Egg and use it to spawn a Fuse. You can also summon one with
/summon com_fuse_pbaiyy7f:mycustom. - To make a wild Fuse your companion, interact with it while holding a lava bucket. A tamed Fuse follows its owner.
- To test its explosive behavior, interact with an unlit Fuse while holding flint and steel, then get clear. It detonates after a short fuse.
- For a bigger blast, interact with it while holding fire charges first. Each charge strengthens the explosion, up to three.
Overview
Fuse is a large, flying Nether mob. Wild Fuses are hostile to players and can close in to attack with an explosion. You can tame one, or deliberately ignite one and flee before it detonates.
What It Adds
- A hovering, fire-themed mob with 24 health.
- A Fuse Spawn Egg for Creative play.
- Taming, fire-charge feeding, and manual ignition interactions.
- Drops of 1–3 gunpowder. A player kill also has a 10% chance to drop magma cream; Looting can improve the chance.
How To Use
Interact with a Fuse using the item you want to use:
| Held item | Effect |
|---|---|
| Lava bucket | Tames the Fuse; it follows its owner. |
| Fire charge | Adds one charge, up to three, strengthening its eventual explosion. |
| Flint and steel | Lights the Fuse. Move away before it detonates. |
A tamed Fuse follows its owner but does not pursue players to attack. It can still be ignited manually, so take care around it.
Crafting And Obtaining
There are no listed crafting recipes for Fuse. In Survival, look for Fuses in the Nether: they spawn in low light on netherrack, crimson or warped nylium, soul sand, soul soil, basalt, and blackstone. They can appear in groups of one or two on Normal or Hard difficulty. In Creative, use the Fuse Spawn Egg.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Hostile attack: An untamed Fuse can target a visible nearby player and explode when close enough.
- Charged blast: Each fire charge increases the explosion radius by 1.5 blocks; the uncharged radius is 4 blocks. At three charges, the radius is 8.5 blocks.
- Explosion effects: The blast does not break blocks, but it can start fires. The Fuse is consumed when it detonates, whether it was ignited by a player or attacked with its blast.
Progression And Strategy
Tame a Fuse with a lava bucket before keeping it nearby. If you want to experiment with its blast, feed it fire charges before lighting it, and keep plenty of distance—especially at full charge.
