Frostfire Santa
Quickstart
- Find a snowy or icy biome — Evil Santa spawns automatically near players standing on snowy terrain (snow, ice, packed ice, blue ice, etc.) once every three in-game days. Watch for the action bar message "A freezing wind announces Evil Santa!" to know he has arrived.
- Instant fight — Use the Evil Santa Spawn Egg (available in the Creative inventory) to spawn Evil Santa anywhere, anytime.
- Come prepared — Bring ranged weapons, plenty of food, and ideally teammates. The fight is long; Evil Santa has 4,900,000 HP.
- Survive the frost — Dodge snowballs and icy fireballs, and cleanse or outlast the freeze debuffs he applies periodically.
- Claim your loot — Defeat him to earn Blue Ice, Diamonds, and an Enchanted Golden Apple.
Overview
Frostfire Santa adds Evil Santa, a massive world boss that haunts snowy and icy Overworld biomes. He appears automatically on a three-day in-game cycle, stalking any nearby player brave (or foolish) enough to stand on frozen ground. While he moves slowly and hits lightly in melee, his scripted ranged attacks and freezing debuffs make him a genuine endurance challenge best tackled with friends.

How To Use
Automatic Spawning
Evil Santa spawns automatically near a player who is:
- Standing within a snowy/icy biome (snow, snow layers, powder snow, ice, packed ice, blue ice, or frosted ice underfoot).
- On a world day that is at least 3 in-game days after the last spawn.
- Not already within 160 blocks of an active Evil Santa.
When he spawns, every nearby player sees the action bar notification: "A freezing wind announces Evil Santa!"
Manual Spawning
Use the Evil Santa Spawn Egg from the Creative inventory to spawn him immediately at any location. You can also use the command:
/summon com_frostfire_santa_lzqxsysv:evil_santa
Abilities And Mechanics
Evil Santa cycles through three ranged attacks while also closing in for melee. All ranged attacks target the nearest player within 48 blocks.
| Attack | Effect | Cooldown |
|---|
| Snowball Volley | Launches a snowball toward the target; snowflake particles burst from Evil Santa | ~4 seconds |
| Icy Fireball | Fires a wither skull at low speed toward the target | ~7.5 seconds |
| Freeze | Applies Slowness VI and Mining Fatigue II for 6 seconds to the target; snowflake particles appear on the victim; action bar reads "Evil Santa's frost freezes your legs!" | ~11 seconds |
Melee: Low damage (2 per hit), but Evil Santa will relentlessly pursue players, golems, and snow golems within 40 blocks.
Resistances:
- 75% knockback resistance — he is very hard to push back.
- Takes damage from lava.
- Classified as undead.
Progression And Strategy
Recommended Preparation
- Ranged weapons (bows, crossbows, tridents) let you deal damage while staying mobile and avoiding melee contact.
- Milk buckets instantly cure the Freeze debuff (Slowness + Mining Fatigue). Keep several on hand.
- High-tier armor with Protection and Projectile Protection reduces snowball and fireball damage.
- Teamwork dramatically shortens the fight — multiple players can split his attention and rotate out when frozen.
Tactical Tips
- Keep moving to reduce the impact of the Freeze attack; being slowed while stationary is less punishing than being caught mid-sprint.
- The icy fireballs travel slowly — sidestep them rather than trying to block.
- Because he only spawns once per three in-game days and never duplicates within 160 blocks, you will not be swarmed; use the terrain to funnel him.
- Lava is your environmental ally — Evil Santa takes damage from it, though luring him in is easier said than done.
Loot
Defeating Evil Santa (by player or tamed pet) guarantees the following drops:
| Item | Amount |
|---|
| Blue Ice | 8–16 |
| Diamond | 2–5 |
| Enchanted Golden Apple | 1 (only when killed by a player or their pets) |
