Quickstart

1. Collect the crafting ingredients: a Diamond Sword, two Packed Ice, two Blaze Rods, and two Sticks.
2. Craft the Frostfire Blade at a crafting table:

Overview

The Frostfire Blade is a diamond-tier sword that fuses fire and ice into every swing. A single hit simultaneously ignites your target and locks them in a frozen state, layering burn damage over time with freeze slow and freeze damage.

Abilities And Mechanics

Every time you strike a living enemy, two effects apply instantly:

• Burning — The target is set on fire for 5 seconds, taking fire damage over time.
• Freezing — The target's freeze meter is immediately pushed past the freeze-damage threshold, slowing their movement and dealing freeze damage — no repeated hits required.

Both effects land on every single hit.

The blade is built on diamond-tier stats with high base attack damage and a fast swing speed (comparable to a standard sword), so it deals strong direct damage on top of its elemental effects.

Progression And Strategy

• You need a Diamond Sword as a crafting ingredient, so diamond-tier progression is required before you can craft the blade.
• The dual burn-and-freeze combination is especially powerful against high-health targets like bosses: fire chips away health continuously while freeze slows their movement and deals bonus damage.
• One hit is all it takes to trigger full freeze damage — you don't need to build up the freeze meter naturally.
• Mobs immune to fire (Blazes, Wither Skeletons, etc.) won't suffer fire damage over time, but will still be frozen. Mobs immune to freezing (Strays, etc.) won't take freeze damage, but will still burn.
