Description:
Frontline Outposts transforms your world into a WWII-style combat sandbox where you start with a starter M4 and a Frontline Radio, locate procedurally spawned enemy compounds and assault outposts, and clear them to earn salvage rewards. Craft and use a range of firearms — AK-15, M4, M16, Heavy MG, plus explosive Rocket and Anti-Tank Launchers — with rifles and MGs delivering accurate hitscan fire while launchers create battlefield explosions; weapons are craftable and have unique behavior. Hostile Soldier NPCs naturally spawn and man outposts (spawn eggs are available), and the HUD action-bar shows nearby outpost hostile counts and rewards; using the Frontline Radio can also call in a compound ahead of you, and clearing all tagged soldiers in a site grants iron, gunpowder, emeralds and other salvage.

Frontline Outposts
Quickstart
- First spawn — you automatically receive a Frontline Radio and an M4. Check your inventory.
- Find an outpost — hold the Frontline Radio and use it (tap/right-click) to call in an enemy compound ~34 blocks ahead of you. Outposts also spawn naturally around the world.
- Check the HUD — the action bar shows nearby hostile counts and available rewards.
- Open fire — hold any firearm and use it to shoot. Hitscan weapons fire instantly; launchers create explosions.
- Clear the site — eliminate every Hostile Soldier tagged to the outpost to trigger the salvage reward drop (iron, gunpowder, emeralds, and more).
- Upgrade — craft better weapons at a crafting table once you collect enough iron, gunpowder, and diamonds.
Overview
Frontline Outposts turns your Minecraft world into a WWII-style combat sandbox. Enemy compounds and outposts are scattered across the landscape and can also be summoned on demand. You assault them with a roster of craftable firearms, eliminate the garrisoned Hostile Soldiers, and collect salvage. The action bar acts as a battlefield HUD, keeping you informed of enemy counts and reward status in real time.

How To Use
Firearms
- Equip any firearm in your hand.
- Use (tap/right-click) to fire. All rifles and the Heavy MG use hitscan — they instantly hit any enemy in their effective range.
- Launchers fire a projectile; if it hits an enemy or reaches max range it detonates. Rocket Launcher and Anti-Tank Launcher both break blocks in the blast.
- A cooldown (reload time) applies after each shot. If you fire while reloading, the action bar displays the remaining reload time in seconds.
- Weapons have durability and will eventually break from use.
Frontline Radio
- Hold the Frontline Radio and use it to immediately generate an enemy compound ~34 blocks in the direction you are facing.
- You receive a chat message confirming the compound has appeared.
- The radio can be used multiple times to generate separate sites.
Outpost HUD
- The action bar automatically displays nearby outpost hostile counts and reward information — no command needed.
Clearing an Outpost
- Kill every Hostile Soldier assigned to a site.
- Once the site is cleared, salvage rewards (iron ingots, gunpowder, emeralds, and other loot) are granted automatically.
Crafting And Obtaining
All weapons are crafted at a crafting table. The Frontline Radio is also crafted at a crafting table. You receive an M4 and a Frontline Radio for free on first spawn.

Abilities And Mechanics
Weapon Stats at a Glance
| Weapon | Damage | Range (blocks) | Spread | Shots/Use | Explosive Radius | Durability |
|---|
| M4 | 7 | 48 | 1.15 | 1 | — | 850 |
| AK-15 | 8 | 52 | 1.05 | 1 | — | 900 |
| M16 | 9 | 62 | 0.85 | 1 | — | 850 |
| Heavy MG | 6 | 58 | 1.65 | 2 | — | 1200 |
| Rocket Launcher | 18 | 64 | 1.80 | 1 | 3 (breaks blocks) | 120 |
| Anti-Tank Launcher | 30 | 70 | 1.25 | 1 | 5 (breaks blocks) | 80 |
- Spread determines the hit cylinder radius around your crosshair; lower is more accurate.
- Heavy MG fires two hitscan shots per use, making it effective against clusters despite its lower per-hit damage.
- Launchers always detonate — on a hit or at the end of their range — so they are effective even when you miss directly.
Hostile Soldiers
- Spawn naturally at night on grass, sand, stone, and dirt in groups of 2–4.
- Prefer ranged attacks (crossbow) at up to 8 blocks; switch to melee when underwater.
- Captains and patrol leaders hold the line and broadcast alerts to nearby soldiers.
- Drop arrows on death; captains may also drop a crossbow.
- Can be manually spawned with the Hostile Soldier Spawn Egg.
Progression And Strategy
- Early game — use your starter M4 to clear small natural outposts and gather iron and gunpowder from salvage drops.
- Upgrade path — craft the AK-15 or M16 for better damage and range; build the Heavy MG for sustained suppressive fire.
- Compound assaults — use the Frontline Radio to summon larger compounds (15×15 coarse-dirt footprint) when you want a higher-density fight and bigger rewards.
- Launchers last — the Rocket and Anti-Tank Launchers have very low durability and high resource costs; save them for fortified compounds or tough captain-led groups.
- Watch the HUD — the action bar tells you how many enemies remain before the reward triggers; use that to decide when to push vs. hold back.
- Kite ranged soldiers — Hostile Soldiers switch to crossbows at range; close distance quickly or use an explosive weapon to break their formation before they overwhelm you.
