Description
Make a mod that is rather similar to the Axiom terrain editor mod. Make it have a custom tool that looks cool and if you try to break blocks with it, it will open the menu where you can select whether you want to raise terrain, lower terrain, smooth terrain, make a gradient, literally the options from Axiom. Interacting with the tool executes the option and settings the player had set. Make the ui custom and really cool like Axiom. Give it an interesting cool name (Forma) and a simple icon. Make it so holding the interact button on the tool opens the menu, clicking the interact button only changes the land. Make it so the layers can set gradients. Make it so players can set certain blocks for slope angles, example: 0 to 10 degrees = grass block, 11 degrees to 90 degrees = (mixed blocks) Deepslate, Stone, Tuff. The player can create a new angle and set what blocks it will place and also delete angles. The players can edit the angles and what blocks will be placed. Add 10x more functions and make the ui more interesting and easy to use.

Forma
Quickstart
Craft and equip a Forma Sculptor, then aim at a solid block on the terrain you want to edit. Tap the use/interact button to apply the selected action; the default is a circular Raise brush. Hold use for about half a second, then release to open the terrain settings. Trying to break a block with the tool also opens settings instead of breaking it.

In Creative, you can also get one with /give @s com_forma_35khaksu:forma_sculptor.
Overview
Forma is a terrain-sculpting tool. Its brush edits the ground around the surface column you’re looking at. Choose an action, brush shape, size, and strength in the settings, then use the tool on terrain to apply it.
What It Adds
- The Forma Sculptor tool and a terrain settings menu.
- Twelve brush actions: Raise, Lower, Smooth, Flatten, Gradient, Paint, Terrace, Erode, Ramp, Noise, Replace, and Undo.
- Circular or square brush footprints, with adjustable radius and strength.
- Configurable material layers and slope-based block palettes.
How To Use
- Aim at a solid block within 64 blocks. The brush centers on that block’s surface column.
- Hold use to open the settings. Choose an action and adjust the brush and material options, then select Apply settings.
- Tap use to apply the selected action. Use the break-block input with the tool to reopen settings.
The settings are arranged across pages: choose the action and brush on the first page; fluid and slope options on the next; layer materials and gradient direction on another; and slope palette controls on the last.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Forma Sculptor at a crafting table using the recipe shown in Quickstart, or use the Creative command there.
Abilities And Mechanics
The brush radius ranges from 1 to 8 blocks, and strength from 1 to 8. A Circle footprint is round; Square covers a square area. Settings start at radius 4 and strength 3.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Raise | Adds height to terrain by the selected strength. |
| Lower | Removes terrain height by the selected strength. |
| Smooth | Moves surface heights toward the average of nearby columns. |
| Flatten | Brings brush columns toward the height of the aimed surface. |
| Gradient | Applies a blend of the base and peak blocks across the selected X or Z axis, through the chosen layer depth. |
| Paint | Replaces the surface block with the base block. |
| Terrace | Snaps heights into steps using the layer depth. |
| Erode | Lowers high columns relative to nearby columns. |
| Ramp | Shapes a slope along the selected X or Z axis. |
| Noise | Adds irregular height variation. |
| Replace | Replaces the surface block with the peak block. |
| Undo | Reverses the most recent stroke. |
The default layer blocks are minecraft:stone for the base and minecraft:grass_block for the peak. Layer depth ranges from 1 to 8 blocks and starts at 4. The gradient direction starts on the X axis.
Protect water and lava is on by default. Use slope bands is also enabled by default; when enabled, Forma chooses a surface block from the band matching the slope angle. The default palette uses grass for 0–10° and a mix of deepslate, stone, and tuff for 11–90°.
Progression And Strategy
For controlled shaping, start with a small radius and strength, then increase them as needed. Use Flatten to establish a level area, Terrace for stepped shapes, or Ramp for a directional slope. Try Gradient with different axes and layer depths to blend materials across a hillside.
To customize slope materials, enter namespaced block IDs such as minecraft:stone, separated by commas. Choose Add band and set a non-overlapping angle range to create a band; choose Edit / replace band or Delete band and enter that band’s exact start and end angles. Forma supports up to eight bands, and at least one must remain.
