Forgotten Heroes Village
Quickstart
- Gather 4 Iron Swords, 4 Cracked Stone Bricks, and 1 Compass.
- Craft the Forgotten Heroes Village item at a crafting table:
- Find a flat-ish area with enough room (the structure spans roughly 6×6 blocks at ground level).
- Place the item like a normal block. The moment it touches the ground, the multiblock structure automatically assembles around it, oriented to face the direction you were looking.
- Explore the ruined buildings — loot chests will have spawned inside filled with randomized hero gear.
Overview
Forgotten Heroes Village is a placeable multiblock structure that instantly constructs a crumbling village once believed to be home to a regiment of elite guards. The entire settlement materializes when you place a single item, and every run is different thanks to randomized loot chests hidden throughout the ruins. Nearby players receive a message announcing the village's appearance, so the discovery can be shared.
What It Adds
| Content | Description |
|---|
| Forgotten Heroes Village (item) | The placer item — craft it and place it to spawn the structure |
| Ruined Village Structure | A multiblock of cracked-stone buildings that assembles automatically on placement |
| Loot Chests | Chests spawned inside the buildings, each filled with 8–12 randomized items from the fallen heroes' loot table |
How To Use
Placing the Village
- Hold the Forgotten Heroes Village item and tap/place it on any solid surface, just like placing a block.
- The structure orients itself based on the cardinal direction you are facing (north, south, east, or west). Choose your facing direction before placing to control which way the village opens.
- The placer block disappears and the full ruined village assembles instantly in its place.
Searching the Ruins
- Once the village has risen, explore the buildings and look for chests.
- Each chest contains 8–12 items drawn randomly from the fallen heroes' loot pool.
- The structure blocks are breakable (roughly 1.5 seconds per block) and have no explosion resistance, so you can clear rubble to reach hidden areas.
Abilities And Mechanics
Direction-Aware Assembly
The village reads which way you are facing when you place the item and rotates the entire structure to match — north, south, east, or west. This lets you align the entrance with pathways or other builds.
Randomized Loot Chests
Every placed village generates fresh loot. Items are drawn using a weighted random system, so common supplies appear more often than legendary finds. The full loot pool includes:
| Rarity | Items |
|---|
| Common | Arrows (4–16), Iron Ingots (1–8), Gold Ingots (1–6), Iron Sword, Iron Chestplate, Bow, Experience Bottles (1–5) |
| Uncommon | Emeralds (1–8), Shield, Crossbow, Golden Apple (1–3), Diamond Sword, Diamond Helmet, Diamond Boots |
| Rare | Diamond Chestplate, Diamond Leggings, Totem of Undying, Enchanting Table |
| Very Rare | Enchanted Golden Apple, Netherite Ingot (1–2) |
Nearby Player Notification
When the village is placed, any player within 64 blocks receives a chat message alerting them that the ruins have appeared and that treasure awaits inside.
Progression And Strategy
- Early Game: The village can be crafted as soon as you have iron swords and cracked stone bricks. Even the common loot (iron gear, arrows, gold) is a meaningful boost at this stage.
- Placement Tip: Choose open terrain so the full 6×6 footprint assembles cleanly. Placing it underground or in cramped spaces may cause blocks to overlap with existing terrain.
- Loot Runs: Because the structure is craftable, experienced players can farm the recipe and place multiple villages to chase rare drops like Netherite Ingots or Enchanted Golden Apples.
- Multiplayer: The notification system makes village drops a community event — drop one near your base to kick off a group treasure hunt.
