Description
The portal to the dimension is a 5 by 5 upright square that you light with a wither rose made of Glitchstone, which is like a pink version of glowstone that occurs in clumps of 9 to 27 blocks across all dimensions. the dimension is called the Forgotten lands, where there are islands floating everywhere, suspended above the void. All the leaves, trees and wood and even grass are grey. The only mob is the Giant, like a giant zombie around 20 blocks tall that attacks the player. no ores spawn except coal, quartz ore and ancient debris. The quartz ore, instead of looking like netherrack surrounding it, looks like it has stone instead. Structures like huge spirals made of glitchstone occur commonly here.

Forgotten Giantlands
Quickstart
- Find and mine Glitchstone. It appears in clumps of 9–27 blocks across dimensions; use a pickaxe.
- Craft a Glitchstone Wither Rose using the recipe below.
- Build an upright, 5×5 Glitchstone frame with an empty 3×3 center. Use the rose on a frame block to light the portal.
- Step onto the lit portal to enter The Forgotten Lands. A return portal is placed on the arrival island; step onto it to leave.
- Watch your footing: the land is made of floating islands above the void, and a Forgotten Giant may appear nearby.
In Creative, you can also use the Forgotten Giant Spawn Egg to encounter a Giant.
Overview
The Forgotten Lands is a dim, stark dimension of islands suspended above the void. Its trees, leaves, wood, and grass are grey, and large Glitchstone spirals are common landmarks.
What It Adds
- Glitchstone: A pink, glowing block found in clumps across dimensions. It is used to make the portal-lighting rose and build the frame.
- Forgotten terrain: Forgotten Stone, Forgotten Wood, Forgotten Leaves, Forgotten Grass Block, Ashen Grass, and Ashen Soil.
- Forgotten Quartz Ore: A quartz-bearing block with a stone-like appearance around the quartz. It yields 2–5 quartz when mined, subject to explosion loss.
- Limited ores: Coal, quartz ore, and Ancient Debris are the ores found in the dimension.
- Forgotten Giant: The dimension’s hostile mob.
How To Use
The portal needs a complete, upright 5×5 Glitchstone outline with its center clear. Use a Glitchstone Wither Rose on the frame to fill the opening with portal blocks. Walk onto the portal surface to travel; the return portal is on the arrival island.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Glitchstone Wither Rose at a crafting table:
Find Glitchstone in natural clumps, or gather it from the large spiral formations in the Forgotten Lands. Use a pickaxe to mine Forgotten Quartz Ore.
Abilities And Mechanics
The Forgotten Giant is about 20 blocks tall, has 240 health, and attacks with powerful melee strikes. It may pick up and equip nearby gear. Giants can drop rotten flesh, and may rarely drop an iron ingot, carrot, or potato when killed by a player or pet.
Progression And Strategy
Bring blocks to bridge between islands and keep an eye on the void while exploring. Treat Giants as serious threats: their size and health make close-range fights risky. Use the arrival island’s return portal when you are ready to leave.
