Five Minute Fortune

Quickstart

• Join a world and watch the timer in the upper-left corner. Your first Fortune Relic arrives after about ten minutes; the HUD shows the time until it arrives.
• When you receive it, use it with Use Item (right-click by default) for a burst of powerful effects. The relic lasts five minutes, so use it before the HUD’s relic timer runs out.
• Want to try one immediately in Creative mode? Use /give @s five-minute-fortune-2zcvqdgw:fortune_relic.

Overview

Five Minute Fortune gives each player a Fortune Relic on a repeating ten-minute schedule. Each relic is temporary: it expires five minutes after it is awarded. The HUD displays the next delivery countdown and, while you have an active relic, its expiration countdown.

What It Adds

• Fortune Relic: A single-stack item that grants combat and survival buffs when used.

How To Use

Use the relic from your hand. It is not consumed, so you can use it again while it remains active, but each use has a 30-second cooldown. Its five-minute lifetime continues whether or not you use it.

When the lifetime ends, the relic is removed from your inventory. If your inventory is full when a relic is awarded, it drops nearby instead.

Crafting And Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe. Relics are awarded automatically to each player every ten minutes. Check the HUD countdown to see when to expect yours.

Abilities And Mechanics

Using a Fortune Relic grants:

• Strength III, Resistance II, and Speed II for 60 seconds.
• Regeneration II for 20 seconds.

The relic’s five-minute expiration timer is separate from the effects’ durations.

Progression And Strategy

Save a use for a dangerous fight or difficult stretch of travel. Since the effects last less time than the relic itself, you can choose when to activate them—but keep an eye on the relic timer so it does not expire unused.
