Farlands Frontier
Quickstart
- Craft a Frontier Compass with 3 Amethyst Shards, a Compass, and an Ender Pearl: . Use it and choose Enter Farlands Frontier. Use the compass again inside to choose Return home.
- Explore the Farlands and mine Azure Ore with a pickaxe. Craft a Titan Sigil from an Echo Shard, 2 Azure Ore, a Diamond, and Obsidian: .
- In the Farlands, use the sigil to summon a Rift Titan on the ground about five blocks ahead. It cannot summon on Peaceful, and won’t summon another Titan if one is within 96 blocks—prepare for a difficult fight.
- Defeat the Titan for a Rift Core and Sunmetal Ore. Craft a Rift Blade using 2 Rift Cores and 1 Sunmetal Ore: .
Overview
Farlands Frontier is an exploration and boss-fighting dimension with rolling terrain, new stone and ore, and the Rift Titan. Its two regions are Shatterflats, with Rift Dust on the surface, and Cinder Verge, surfaced with Cinderstone.

How To Use
Use the Frontier Compass to open its travel menu, then select Enter Farlands Frontier. The first visit is a good time to scout the terrain and find ore; use the compass again when you want to return to the Overworld.
Mine Azure and Sunmetal Ore with a pickaxe. Both generate underground in Farstone and Cinderstone; Azure can appear from Y -52 to 28, while Sunmetal can appear from Y -48 to 12.
Use a Titan Sigil only when you are ready to fight. It summons the Titan near the spot you’re facing, so leave room to engage it safely.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft these items at a crafting table:
Frontier Compass — 3 Amethyst Shards, 1 Compass, and 1 Ender Pearl.
Titan Sigil — 1 Echo Shard, 2 Azure Ore, 1 Diamond, and 1 Obsidian.
Rift Blade — 2 Rift Cores and 1 Sunmetal Ore.
The Rift Titan drops 1 Rift Core and 2 Sunmetal Ore when defeated.
Abilities And Mechanics
The Rift Titan has 420 health. It hits hard up close, can unleash a sonic boom at range, and can inflict Darkness on nearby players. It also reacts to vibrations and suspicious activity, so listen for its cues and be ready to move.
The Rift Blade deals 10 damage and has 1,650 durability.
Progression And Strategy
Explore first and gather Azure Ore to make a Titan Sigil. Bring strong armor, healing, and weapons before summoning: the Titan’s melee attack deals heavy damage, and its sonic boom can knock you back. After the fight, use the Rift Core and Sunmetal Ore from its drops to craft a Rift Blade.
