Everything Tool

Quickstart

Craft the Everything Tool at a crafting table:

Take the tool in your hand and try it on stone, ores, wood, dirt, obsidian, and other common blocks. Hold the usual mining control to break blocks quickly.

Use the tool without targeting a block to trigger a short burst of speed, haste, and resistance. Strike an entity with it to slow and weaken the target while gaining strength.

In Creative mode, you can obtain it with:

Overview

The Everything Tool combines a fast mining tool with a powerful weapon and temporary combat and travel boosts. It is especially useful when exploring, gathering materials, or switching quickly between mining and fighting.

The tool:

• Mines many common block types at speed 30.
• Deals 20 damage to entities.
• Grants temporary effects when used, while mining, or when hitting an entity.
• Has 5,000 durability.
• Can be used as furnace fuel for 3 seconds.
• Does not stack.

How To Use

Mining

Hold the Everything Tool and mine blocks normally. Its boosted mining profile includes:

• Stone, cobblestone, deepslate, tuff, calcite, dripstone, granite, diorite, and andesite
• Coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, and emerald ores, including deepslate variants
• Dirt, grass blocks, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, podzol, and mycelium
• Sand, red sand, gravel, clay, snow, snow layers, ice, packed ice, and blue ice
• Netherrack, basalt, blackstone, end stone, obsidian, and crying obsidian
• Overworld and Nether logs, stems, and planks
• Leaves, glass, glass panes, wool, hay bales, and bookshelves
• Crafting tables, chests, barrels, melons, pumpkins, and jack-o-lanterns

The tool uses efficiency for its mining speed, so efficiency enchantments can improve it further where applicable.

Using the Tool

Use the tool while holding it to receive a short temporary boost:

• Haste II for 5 seconds
• Speed II for 5 seconds
• Resistance I for 3 seconds

This is useful before sprinting through an area, starting a mining task, or preparing for a dangerous encounter. The effects have no visible particles.

Mining a Block

Breaking a block with the tool grants:

• Haste III for 4 seconds

The mining boost refreshes as you continue working, helping you maintain fast digging while clearing an area. The effect has no visible particles.

Fighting Entities

Attack an entity with the Everything Tool to apply:

• Slowness II to the target for 3 seconds
• Weakness I to the target for 3 seconds
• Strength I to yourself for 2 seconds

The target displays slowness particles, while your strength and weakness effects do not display particles.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the tool in a crafting table using:

• 2 Nether Stars
• 3 Diamonds
• 1 Obsidian
• 1 Stick

The recipe unlocks when you have Nether Stars, Diamonds, Obsidian, and a Stick available to discover the ingredients.

Abilities And Mechanics

Durability

The Everything Tool has 5,000 durability and can only be held as a single item. Mining, attacking, and other normal tool use can wear it down. Repair or replace it before it breaks.

Combat Power

The tool deals 20 damage per attack, making it effective against mobs and other entities even when you are primarily using it for mining.

Fuel

You can place the Everything Tool in a furnace, blast furnace, or smoker as fuel. It burns for 3 seconds.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft one as soon as you can afford the Nether Stars, then use it as your primary mining and combat item.
• Activate the tool’s use boost before entering caves, crossing dangerous terrain, or starting a long excavation.
• Keep mining continuously to refresh Haste III while clearing tunnels or large areas.
• Hit dangerous enemies first to slow and weaken them, then take advantage of the brief Strength boost.
• Carry a backup tool or replacement materials for long expeditions, since the Everything Tool is powerful but not indestructible.
