Evernight Legion: survive a daylight-safe siege that grows stronger every day
Mod Wiki
Evernight Siege Legion
Quickstart
Gather paper and an iron ingot.
Craft an Evernight Charter using .
Hold the Charter and use/interact with it (right-click / tap) to open the Evernight Charter menu.
Choose to pledge a truce if you want safety, or stay independent and prepare to defend yourself.
Watch the action bar — it tracks the current siege day, escalation level, and whether you're "Truce" or "Hunted."
Survive: as days pass, more Evernight Legionnaires spawn around you, even during the day.
Overview
Evernight Siege Legion introduces a relentless, ever-escalating enemy force: the Evernight Legion. Unlike normal hostile mobs, Legionnaires are not limited to nighttime — they hunt during the day as well, and their numbers grow the longer a world survives. Players can choose to negotiate a one-sided truce with the Legion using a craftable Charter, or refuse and fight through increasingly dangerous patrols.
What It Adds
Evernight Legionnaire — a tough, undead humanoid enemy that spawns in monster-eligible biomes at any brightness level, day or night.
Evernight Charter — a usable item that opens a menu to pledge or renounce a truce with the Legion.
An ongoing siege system that tracks in-game days and steadily increases the number and strength of patrols spawning near players.
An on-screen status display showing the current siege day, escalation tier, and truce status.
How To Use
Crafting the Charter: Combine paper and an iron ingot as shown in the recipe below.
Using the Charter: Hold it and interact/use it to bring up the Evernight Charter dialog. From here you can:
Accept the truce — Legionnaires will no longer target you directly.
Renounce the pledge — if already truced, this returns you to being actively hunted.
Keep my current path — closes the menu with no change.
Reading the status bar: While the siege is active, your action bar shows:
Current siege Day
Escalation multiplier (increases the longer the world survives)
Whether you are currently Truce (safe) or Hunted (targeted)
Crafting And Obtaining
The Evernight Charter can only be crafted, not found naturally. It stacks to a single item at a time, so keep it in your inventory or hotbar for quick access whenever you want to check or change your truce status.
Abilities And Mechanics
Evernight Legionnaire
Undead-type monster, 40 health, 7 attack damage.
Can walk, climb, swim, open and break doors — very difficult to escape or wall off.
Actively targets players who have not pledged the truce, as well as villagers, iron golems, and snow golems, within a wide detection radius.
Spawns on the surface in monster-eligible biomes regardless of daylight, and periodically replaces nearby ordinary hostile mobs (zombies, skeletons, etc.) with Legionnaires.
Defeated Legionnaires drop iron nuggets, and rarely iron ingots, carrots, or potatoes.
A spawn egg is available for summoning Legionnaires directly.
The Siege Clock
The mod tracks elapsed in-game time as a running "siege day" count that persists across sessions.
As days pass, the siege escalates: more Legionnaire patrols spawn closer to players, and nearby hostile mobs are periodically swapped out for Legionnaires.
Escalation is reflected in the action bar as a multiplier — higher tiers mean larger, more frequent patrols.
Progression And Strategy
Early on, the siege is manageable: small patrols spawn occasionally, and ordinary hostile mobs are only sometimes replaced.
Over time, patrol sizes grow (up to a capped maximum) and Legionnaires become more common than standard hostile mobs in your surroundings.
Pledging the truce is the safest path for peaceful play — Legionnaires will ignore you, though villagers and golems may still be targeted nearby.
Staying unpledged turns the world into an ongoing survival challenge: fortify your base, gear up with iron, and be ready to fight both day and night as the Legion's presence intensifies with each passing day.
Because the siege never truly stops, long-term worlds should plan defenses (walls, lighting won't help since Legionnaires spawn regardless of brightness) and consider the truce if the pressure becomes overwhelming.
