Everlight Meadows

Quickstart

1. Apply the Everlight Meadows addon to your Bedrock world (both the behavior and resource packs).
2. Create or load a world — the biome generates naturally in the Overworld, replacing plains, sunflower plains, forest, and flower forest areas.
3. To jump straight to the biome, open chat and run: /locate biome com_everlight_meadows_poc5ipw6:everlight_meadows
4. Teleport to the coordinates shown and start exploring — rolling hills, giant golden-leaf trees, and drifting Sunlit Butterflies await.

Overview

Everlight Meadows is a hand-crafted custom biome for the Overworld. It replaces common temperate biomes and fills that space with sweeping emerald hills, fields of towering wildflowers, crystal-turquoise rivers, shimmering lakes, and dramatic landmark formations. The experience is built around peaceful exploration and discovery rather than combat — wander pollen-dusted valleys, watch sunbeams play off reflective water, and occasionally spot a rainbow arching over the landscape.

What It Adds

The Biome

The Everlight Meadows biome is seamlessly woven into standard world generation. Several distinct landscape features define it:

Sunlit Butterfly

The Sunlit Butterfly is a passive creature that spawns exclusively inside the Everlight Meadows biome. Groups of two to five flutter through the air during daylight hours, lending the landscape its signature lively, pollen-dusted atmosphere.

Abilities And Mechanics

Sunlit Butterfly Behavior

Sunlit Butterflies behave similarly to bees. Key traits:

• Passive by default — they drift peacefully and will not attack unprovoked.
• Can be provoked — if attacked, a butterfly becomes angry, broadcasts aggression to nearby butterflies within roughly 20 blocks, and will sting once before eventually perishing.
• Carries nectar — butterflies can collect nectar from flowers, and a nectar-carrying butterfly visually drips particles.
• Breedable — feed two adult Sunlit Butterflies any common flower (poppy, dandelion, cornflower, sunflower, tulips, wildflowers, and many more) to put them into love mode. A baby butterfly will be born.
• Baby growth — baby butterflies follow their parent and grow into adults after a short time. You can accelerate growth by feeding them flowers.
• Leashable — adult Sunlit Butterflies can be leashed.

Progression And Strategy

• Finding the biome — use /locate biome com_everlight_meadows_poc5ipw6:everlight_meadows if you don't want to wander. The biome is large and generates in place of several common biome types, so it should appear reasonably close to spawn in most seeds.
• Exploring landmarks — seek out Mirror Lake and Cloudstep Cliffs for the most scenic views. The floating meadow islands and Sunspire peaks make excellent navigation landmarks.
• Butterfly conservation — avoid provoking Sunlit Butterflies; a provoked butterfly will sting and then die. Breed them with flowers to maintain a healthy local population.
• Spawn eggs — a Sunlit Butterfly Spawn Egg is available in Creative mode if you want to populate other areas or simply observe the creature up close.
• Peaceful playstyle — the biome is designed as a tranquil retreat. Bring a bed, set your spawn near Mirror Lake or atop a Cloudstep Cliff, and use the space as a home base for broader Overworld adventures.
