Eternal Watcher

Quickstart

1. Find the Eternity biome — it spawns extremely rarely as an overworld replacement. Use the command /locate biome com_eternal_watcher_qptxy2kj:eternity to track it down, then travel there.
2. Step inside — the moment you enter, the sky freezes into a star-filled canopy, cosmic particles drift past you, and you gain passive buffs automatically. No setup needed.
3. Mine the terrain — break Timeless Stone with a pickaxe and Shimmering White Crystal with a pickaxe to collect Ancient Fragments, Eternity Crystals, and Stellar Essence.
4. Find The Watcher — the giant neutral entity that drifts through the biome. Stay within 12 blocks of it and wait. After enough time in its presence you receive an Eternity Relic and a celestial echo burst.
5. Craft more Relics once you have enough materials (see recipe below).

Overview

Eternal Watcher adds a single, carefully crafted dimension-like experience inside the overworld: a rare biome called Eternity. It is a place outside normal time — no weather, no hostile spawns, a permanent ambient glow, and soft cosmic particles hanging in the air. The biome comes with unique blocks, four harvestable materials, and a mysterious wandering entity called The Watcher that rewards patient players.

The landscape features pale Timeless Stone plains, glowing Shimmering White Crystal patches, towering monoliths, and ancient constellation trees formed from Ancient Wood trunks and translucent, softly glowing leaves.

Entity

The Watcher — a towering, invulnerable neutral being that hovers slowly through the Eternity biome. It cannot be harmed and will never attack. It occasionally gazes at nearby players and speaks cryptic phrases. Stay close to earn rewards.

How To Use

Entering Eternity

Because the biome is so rare, the fastest way to reach it is with the locate command:

/locate biome com_eternal_watcher_qptxy2kj:eternity

Travel to the coordinates it returns. The moment you cross into the biome boundary, all passive effects activate automatically and the atmosphere changes.

Living in Eternity

While inside the biome you benefit from a continuous set of passive effects applied every few seconds:

• Night Vision — the biome is always visible without torches.
• Resistance — reduced fall and combat damage.
• Saturation — hunger drains far more slowly.
• Negative effect cleansing — poison, wither, weakness, slowness, mining fatigue, blindness, hunger, and nausea are immediately shortened to zero duration, effectively curing them.

Occasionally the action bar displays the message "Time folds softly around Eternity." and ancient whispers drift through the air.

Mob Behaviour in Eternity

Hostile mob spawning is disabled inside the biome. Any hostile mobs that wander in (or are brought in) are automatically afflicted with heavy Weakness and Slowness, making them far less dangerous. Specialised void-type creatures and void killers from other mods are additionally stripped of their Resistance, Strength, and Speed buffs.

Encountering The Watcher

The Watcher spawns naturally on the surface of Eternity (one at a time). It hovers silently 2–6 blocks above the ground and drifts around the biome at a leisurely pace.

• Stay within 12 blocks of The Watcher while inside the biome. Your proximity progress builds over time.
• Occasionally it will send you cryptic chat messages such as "We remember." or "All things pass."
• After sustained proximity, you receive the message "A celestial echo settles into your hands." along with a totem particle burst and one Eternity Relic placed directly into your inventory.
• If you leave the biome, your progress resets.

You can also use a Watcher Spawn Egg to summon one manually.

Crafting And Obtaining

Gathering Materials

All four progression materials come from mining or breaking blocks inside the Eternity biome:

Eternity Relics stack up to 16 and can also be earned by spending time near The Watcher inside the biome.

Abilities And Mechanics

Passive Biome Aura (while inside Eternity)

The Watcher Reward Loop

Stay near The Watcher → build proximity progress → receive an Eternity Relic + particle burst → progress resets → repeat. There is no cap on how many times you can earn Relics this way, making The Watcher a renewable resource for crafting.

Progression And Strategy

1. Locate Eternity early using the /locate command — the biome is rare enough that wandering to find it naturally is impractical.
2. Mine Shimmering White Crystal first — it yields Eternity Crystals and has a chance at Stellar Essence, both of which are required for the Relic recipe.
3. Mine Timeless Stone alongside it to collect Ancient Fragments.
4. Spend time near The Watcher for a steady supply of free Eternity Relics before spending materials on crafting.
5. Use Eternity as a safe haven — because hostile spawns are suppressed and your negative effects are constantly purged, the biome is an ideal place to recover from difficult encounters, cure status ailments, and restore hunger before venturing back into the wider world.
6. Bring dangerous mobs into Eternity intentionally if you wish to fight them in a weakened state — the biome's aura reduces their power significantly.
