Quickstart
- Craft an Ireland Wayfinder using a compass, green dye, and gold nuggets. The recipe is shown below.
- Hold the Wayfinder and use it. Choose Enter Ireland to travel to the Ireland Dimension.
- Explore the peatlands and forests, and look for pubs, leprechaun cottages, and old ruins. Use the Wayfinder again while in Ireland and choose Return home to go back to the Overworld.
- Mine Bog Iron Ore and craft a Bog-Iron Seax for a new weapon.
Overview
Emerald Realms is an Ireland-themed destination to explore, with rolling peat-covered country, native forests, coasts, and scattered landmarks. Travel there with the Ireland Wayfinder, then roam on foot to find its natural resources and structures.

Ireland’s regions include Emerald Pastures, Ancient Oakwood, Scots Pine Heath, Rowan Uplands, Willow Fen, Hawthorn Hedgerow, and Sacred Yew Grove.
How To Use
Use the Ireland Wayfinder to open a travel menu. Select Enter Ireland to visit or Cancel to stay put. While in Ireland, use the Wayfinder again and select Return home. The menu helps prevent an accidental immediate return trip.
Irish Leprechauns can appear on Grass-Capped Peat in bright conditions, usually alone or in pairs. Interact with one to view its trade offers. In Creative, you can also use its spawn egg, or summon one with:

Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Wayfinder at a crafting table. It uses a compass in the center, green dye on either side, and a gold nugget above and below the compass.
Mine Bog Iron Ore in Ireland, then craft the Bog-Iron Seax with two ore and a stick:
Irish Peat and Grass-Capped Peat are shovel-friendly blocks; Bogstone and Bog Iron Ore are pickaxe-friendly, and Irish Oak Logs are axe-friendly. Look for the distinctive flowers and other plants as you explore.
Abilities And Mechanics
The Ireland Wayfinder is a travel item: using it opens the travel menu rather than pointing toward a location. The Bog-Iron Seax is a hand-held weapon with 420 durability and a damage value of 6.
Progression And Strategy
Start by exploring Emerald Pastures for resources and buildings, then head into Ancient Oakwood and the other regions to see more of the landscape. Collect Bog Iron Ore for a Seax, and keep your Wayfinder with you so you can return to the Overworld when you’re ready.
