Quickstart

Craft an Emberforge Earthshaper at a crafting table, then hold it and dig a supported block without crouching to try its 3×3 sweep. Hold crouch while digging to break only the targeted block.

Overview

The Earthshaper is a digging tool for quickly clearing common earth and snow blocks. It works in Survival and Creative modes.

What It Adds

The Earthshaper digs these blocks quickly and can include nearby blocks in its sweep:

• Dirt, grass block, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, podzol, mycelium, dirt path, and farmland
• Clay, sand, red sand, gravel, and mud
• Snow, snow layers, soul sand, and soul soil

How To Use

Break one of the supported blocks while holding the Earthshaper and not crouching. The tool also checks the eight neighboring blocks in the same 3×3 plane as your target:

• Aim steeply at a floor or ceiling for a horizontal sweep.
• Aim toward a wall for a vertical sweep.

Only supported blocks in that plane are included; other block types are left alone. Crouch while mining to suppress the sweep and dig precisely one block.

In Survival, blocks cleared by the sweep drop items normally. In Creative, they are removed without drops.

Craft one Earthshaper at a crafting table using the recipe shown above. The tool has 5,000 durability.
