Eightfold Elemental Gauntlets
Quickstart
Craft the gauntlets at a crafting table using the recipe below. Hold them in either hand and hit a mob to trigger their elemental effects—there’s no separate activation.
Try them on a tough target to see how the effects combine: your hit can set it on fire, slow and poison it, knock it back, deal extra damage, call down lightning, and apply wither and darkness. You also gain regeneration when you land a hit.
Overview
The Eightfold Elemental Gauntlets are a melee weapon with eight elements bound into one item. Each successful hit triggers all eight elemental effects, rather than letting you switch between separate gauntlets.
Abilities And Mechanics
| Element | Effect on hit |
|---|---|
| Fire | Sets the target on fire for 4 seconds. |
| Ice | Slows the target for 5 seconds. |
| Poison | Poisons the target for 5 seconds. |
| Wind | Knocks the target away. |
| Earth | Deals 3 additional damage. |
| Lightning | Summons a lightning bolt at the target. |
| Divine | Gives you Regeneration II for 5 seconds. |
| Shadow | Applies Wither II for 5 seconds and Darkness for 3 seconds. |
The gauntlets deal 7 base attack damage and have 1,600 durability. They can be held in either hand.
