Quickstart

• In Creative, find the Eagle Star Spawn Egg and use it underwater to spawn one.
• For a natural encounter, search underwater in a warm ocean, over sand, gravel, or coral blocks.
• Place kelp nearby and watch: Eagle Star feeds on kelp, and starts wandering around the seabed after dark.
• Keep close encounters in mind: Eagle Star can attack nearby players.

Overview

Eagle Star is a small aquatic reef dweller. It breathes underwater and rests quietly on the seabed during the day; after dark, it becomes more active.

How To Use

Eagle Star has no special player interaction. Spawn it with its egg, or look for it in a warm ocean. Kelp nearby gives it something to feed on, while observing it at night shows its seabed wandering.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Night activity: It swims and wanders underwater after dark, avoiding the surface.
• Kelp feeding: When kelp or kelp plants are nearby, Eagle Star can eat them. The eaten kelp blocks disappear and leave water behind.
• Attack: Eagle Star can target a nearby player it can see and deal 3 damage with an attack.
• Health: Eagle Star has 14 health.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no Eagle Star crafting recipes. Find one naturally in a warm ocean or use its spawn egg from the Creative inventory.

When killed, Eagle Star drops 1–2 kelp. A player-killed Eagle Star has a small chance to drop a gold nugget; Looting slightly increases that chance.
