Abilities And Mechanics

Base Damage

The blade deals 9 base damage per hit, putting it above a standard diamond sword.

Burn on Hit

Every successful hit sets the target on fire for 4 seconds, dealing continuous fire damage after the initial strike.

Critical Hits (30% Chance)

Each swing has a 30% chance to trigger a critical hit, dealing 6 additional bonus damage on top of the base attack. A critical hit is announced by:

• A burst of flame particles at the target's location.
• A firework blast sound audible to nearby players.

Held Aura (Passive Buffs)

While the Dragon Talon Blade is held in your main hand, you continuously receive three status effects:

These effects refresh automatically every second while the blade is equipped. Shortly after you swap away or put the blade down, the effects expire naturally — they are not permanent.

• Durability: The blade has 1,561 durability, on par with diamond tools.
• Repairing: Use Dragon's Breath at an anvil to restore durability (390 durability per bottle).
• Enchanting: The blade uses the sword enchanting slot and has an enchantability of 18, making it reasonably receptive to enchantments. Apply Fire Aspect, Sharpness, or Looting to push it even further.
• Combat tip: The passive Speed and Health Boost mean you can afford an aggressive playstyle — close the gap quickly and let the burn DOT and crit chance finish the job. Avoid switching weapons mid-fight, as the aura buffs fade shortly after you put the blade away.
