Dragon Lair adds a new hot, inland Overworld biome full of scorched terrain and dramatic visuals — explore blackened Scorched Dragon Soil, fields of Ember Grass, and jagged Dragonstone outcrops that generate naturally as part of world generation. You can find one quickly with the /locate biome dragon-lair-qwiuyvwo:dragon_lair command or by wandering the world; the biome includes unique block and item models, textures, and loot tables for harvesting and exploration. Collect new materials for building and crafting, discover biome-specific loot, and use its striking landscape as a new late-game resource and base location.

Quickstart
- Find the biome — Run
/locate biome dragon-lair-qwiuyvwo:dragon_lairin chat. Teleport to the coordinates it returns. - Explore — You'll land in a scorched inland landscape of blackened Scorched Dragon Soil, glowing Ember Grass, and jagged Dragonstone outcrops.
- Mine Dragonstone — Use an iron pickaxe or better to collect Dragonstone blocks directly from the terrain.
- Craft a Dragon Scale — At a crafting table, combine Blaze Powder + Copper Ingot + Amethyst Shard (shapeless) to make a Dragon Scale.
- Build a Dragon Altar — Craft the altar and place it as your base of operations in the biome.
- Craft the Wyrmfire Scepter — Obtain a Dragon Heart (found in biome loot) and craft it with Blaze Rods for the mod's signature weapon.

How To Use
Finding the Biome
Use the command /locate biome dragon-lair-qwiuyvwo:dragon_lair to find the nearest Dragon Lair biome. The game will display coordinates in chat — teleport there or travel on foot.
Mining
- Dragonstone and the Dragon Altar both require at least an iron pickaxe to mine and drop their block.
- Scorched Dragon Soil can be mined with any tool and drops itself.
- Ember Grass drops nothing — it is purely decorative.
Dragon Altar
Place the Dragon Altar in the world to use it as a crafting or ritual station within your Dragon Lair base.

Dragon Heart is not craftable — obtain it from loot found within the Dragon Lair biome, then use it to craft the Wyrmfire Scepter.
Progression And Strategy
- Early visit: Head to the Dragon Lair biome as soon as you have iron tools. Mine Dragonstone and collect Scorched Dragon Soil for a unique base aesthetic.
- Mid-game: Craft Dragon Scales from materials you likely already have (Blaze Powder, Copper Ingots, Amethyst Shards) to unlock Dragonstone crafting and the Dragon Altar.
- Late-game: Hunt for Dragon Hearts in biome loot chests or drops, then forge the Wyrmfire Scepter — the mod's most powerful reward.
- The Dragon Lair biome's striking black-and-ember visuals make it an ideal location for a dramatic end-game base or fortress.
