Quickstart

1. Smelt a piece of regular bread in a furnace (using bones as fuel) to obtain Doge Bread.
2. Hold and eat the Doge Bread like any food item.
3. Watch yourself transform into a bobbing, floating Doge for a randomized amount of time.
4. Enjoy the music, screen overlay, speed boost, and particle effects while Doge Mode is active — other nearby players will see you as a Doge too!

Overview

Doge Bread is a single, silly food item that temporarily turns whoever eats it into a "Doge" — the iconic meme dog. Eating it triggers a full audiovisual transformation: your character model is replaced with a bobbing Doge billboard visible to yourself and other players, doge-themed music plays, golden particles swirl around you, and a floating Doge overlay decorates your screen. It's a fun, chaotic buff to use in creative builds, videos, or just to mess with friends on a server.

What It Adds

• Doge Bread — an edible item that grants the "Doge Mode" status effect.
• Doge Mode status effect — a neutral effect with a golden icon that boosts movement speed and periodically spawns particles around the affected player.
• Doge visuals — while active, your player model is replaced with a bobbing, camera-facing Doge image (visible to all nearby players), and your own screen shows a semi-transparent Doge overlay floating around the edges.
• Reactive "Wow" texture — taking damage while in Doge Mode swaps your Doge image to a startled "wow" expression for about a second, accompanied by a bark-like sound.
• Ambient Doge sounds — while simply holding Doge Bread in your hand, there's a small random chance each tick it lets out a "wow" bark.
• Doge music — a dedicated music track plays when Doge Mode is activated and stops automatically when it ends.

How To Use

• Eating it: Right-click/use Doge Bread to eat it (like normal bread) and immediately trigger Doge Mode.
• Holding it: Simply carrying Doge Bread in your main hand or off-hand can occasionally produce a random bark sound and "wow" face flash, even before eating it.
• While transformed: You'll move faster, see golden particles around your body, hear doge music, and see a floating Doge overlay on your screen. Other players nearby will visually see you as a Doge as well.
• Getting hurt: Taking damage while in Doge Mode triggers the surprised "wow" face and bark sound.
• Item pickup quirk: While Doge Mode is active, you cannot pick up items from the ground — embrace the chaos and wait out the effect if you need to grab something.

• Duration: Eating Doge Bread activates Doge Mode for a random duration between roughly 30 seconds and 2 minutes.
• Speed boost: While active, you move 50% faster (this boost does not affect your field of view like vanilla Speed effects).
• Particles: Golden sparkly particles periodically spawn around your body while transformed.
• Visual transformation: Your player model becomes a floating, camera-facing Doge image with a subtle bobbing animation, visible to everyone nearby — not just yourself.
• Wow reaction: Getting hurt while transformed swaps your Doge texture to a "wow" face for about a second and plays a bark sound.
• Screen overlay: Only you see a decorative, semi-transparent Doge image floating around your screen's edges and center while Doge Mode is active.
• No item pickup: Doge Mode prevents you from picking up dropped items until the effect ends.

There's no complex progression here — Doge Bread is a fun novelty item best used for laughs, roleplay, machinima, or surprising other players on a server. Keep a stack of bones on hand to keep producing Doge Bread from ordinary bread, and consider timing your transformation for maximum comedic effect since the duration is randomized each time you eat it.
