The Dimensional Jelly Sandwich is a single magical food item that draws on materials from across dimensions — the Nether, the End, and beyond. It acts as an emergency survival tool and a mobility aid rolled into one, granting a powerful suite of status effects the moment you finish eating. Because it can be consumed regardless of hunger level, you can pop one at any moment — mid-combat, mid-fall, or before a dangerous dive into the Nether.

The item has an enchantment glint, signalling its otherworldly nature, and its tooltip reads:

The recipe is a shaped 3×3 craft combining Nether and End materials around two loaves of Bread:

All ingredients are obtainable before or after reaching the End, but you will need to visit the Nether first for Netherite Scraps and Nether Wart, and the End (or End Ships/Cities) for Eyes of Ender and Popped Chorus Fruit.

The recipe is automatically unlocked as soon as you join a world — no advancement hunting required.

Abilities And Mechanics

Eating one Dimensional Jelly Sandwich grants all of the following effects simultaneously:

Key interaction — Levitation + Slow Falling: Levitation causes you to rise into the air, while Slow Falling moderates the upward force and prevents fall damage when you eventually descend. Together they let you float safely rather than rocket uncontrollably skyward.

Full hunger bar? No problem. Unlike ordinary food, you can eat this sandwich at any time regardless of how full you are — right-click and hold just as you would with a Golden Apple.

Progression And Strategy

• Early Nether trip payoff: Once you have Netherite Scraps, Nether Wart, Eyes of Ender, and Chorus Fruit, craft a stack of sandwiches to keep on hand for dangerous situations.
• Combat shield: The 20 Absorption hearts (equivalent to an Enchanted Golden Apple's absorption) combined with Regeneration II make this an excellent panic button during tough fights.
• Fire immunity: Fire Resistance is invaluable in the Nether, making the sandwich a practical choice before lava dives or Blaze encounters.
• Vertical mobility: The Levitation + Slow Falling combo can be used deliberately to reach elevated ledges or scout terrain from above without needing an Elytra.
• Stack up: The sandwich stacks to 64, so crafting in bulk is worthwhile once you have a reliable Nether Wart farm and Chorus Fruit supply.
