Description
This mod adds a craftable, placeable Error Block with a corrupted, glitch-style appearance that can be used as a decorative hazard or a trap. Any player who comes within 6 blocks of a placed Error Block is scanned every second and continuously afflicted with all negative status effects (poison, slowness, blindness, weakness, etc.), turning its vicinity into a dangerous zone. Error Blocks are integrated into survival progression with a crafting recipe and loot/drops, and must be mined with a diamond-tier pickaxe, encouraging careful handling and strategic placement.

Quickstart
- Gather the materials below and craft an Error Block at a crafting table.
- Place it somewhere in your world.
- Step within 6 blocks of it — every second you'll be hit with every negative status effect in the game simultaneously.
- To pick it back up, mine it with a diamond-tier pickaxe (or better). It drops itself.
Overview
Cursed Error Block adds a single, deceptively dangerous block: the Error Block. It has a corrupted, glitch-style appearance and serves as a powerful decorative hazard or trap. Its vicinity is an instant danger zone — any non-spectator player within range is bombarded with every negative status effect the game has to offer, every single second.
What It Adds

Abilities And Mechanics
- Curse Aura: Every second, the game scans a 6-block cube around each placed Error Block. Any player standing within that range is immediately afflicted with every negative mob effect — including Poison, Slowness, Blindness, Weakness, Hunger, Mining Fatigue, Nausea, and more.
- Effect Duration: Each effect application lasts 7 seconds (140 ticks), with continuous reapplication every second. There is no grace period; players in range will keep all effects active indefinitely.
- Spectators are immune — only survival and adventure mode players are affected.
- Blast Resistance: The Error Block has extremely high blast resistance (matching obsidian-tier), making it very difficult to destroy with explosions. It will not drop itself if destroyed by an explosion it cannot survive.
- Mining Requirement: Requires a diamond-tier pickaxe (or better) to mine. Lower-tier tools will not yield a drop.

Craft the Error Block at a standard crafting table using the recipe below:
The Error Block drops itself when mined with a diamond or higher pickaxe, so it can be relocated and reused freely.
Progression And Strategy
- As a trap: Place Error Blocks in corridors, chests rooms, or entry points. Any player who wanders close will be overwhelmed by debuffs instantly — even a brief exposure can be fatal if they lack strong gear or milk.
- Mining tip: Always carry a diamond pickaxe before you plan to recover an Error Block. Forgetting the right tool means losing the block entirely.
- Milk counters it: A bucket of milk will clear all applied effects, making it a key counter-item if you accidentally get too close to your own trap.
- Range awareness: The 6-block detection is a cube (not a sphere), so walls and corners offer no protection — distance is the only safe guard.
