Description
The Crimson Timber Axe is a single, powerful tool built for players who are tired of chopping down trees one log at a time. Break a single log with it and the whole tree comes down with it, saving time on wood collection while doubling as one of the strongest axes available.
Simply hold the Crimson Timber Axe and strike any log that's part of a tree. The axe automatically detects all connected logs and leaves nearby and breaks them all at once, dropping their items just as if you'd chopped each one individually. This works on any tree shape or size, up to a generous range, so even large or oddly-grown trees fall in one hit.
Despite chopping down an entire tree at once, the axe only takes durability damage as if it had broken a single extra block — meaning tree-felling barely wears it down.
The axe also functions as a top-tier weapon and general axe: it mines and attacks faster and harder than a standard netherite axe, and can be used for all normal axe tasks like stripping logs or breaking pumpkins.
The Crimson Timber Axe is created by upgrading a Netherite Axe at a Smithing Table:
You'll need a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, a Netherite Axe, and a Wither Skeleton Skull to complete the upgrade.
Because crafting this axe requires a full Netherite Axe and a Wither Skeleton Skull — both mid-to-late game resources — the Crimson Timber Axe is best thought of as an endgame upgrade. Once obtained, it dramatically speeds up wood gathering for large builds, and its high damage and durability make it a solid choice to keep in your main hand as a all-purpose combat and utility tool. Use it whenever you need to clear forests quickly or want an axe that won't need frequent repairs.
