Crimson Cutless

Quickstart

1. Open your inventory in Creative Mode and search for Crimson Cutless under the Combat tab — it cannot be crafted and must be obtained from there.
2. Hold it in your main hand to immediately gain Fire Resistance.
3. Right-click to lunge forward in the direction you are looking. A fiery burst erupts ~3 blocks ahead, damaging and knocking back nearby enemies.
4. Watch the 3-second cooldown bar before lunging again.

Overview

The Crimson Cutless is a powerful netherite-tier weapon with a unique dash-and-burst ability. It passively protects you from fire while you hold it, and its lunge lets you close gaps or scatter groups of enemies in an instant. The weapon cannot be repaired or crafted — treat its durability as a finite resource.

What It Adds

How To Use

Passive: Fire Resistance

Simply hold the Crimson Cutless in your main hand. As long as it is held, you are continuously granted Fire Resistance — no brewing required.

Active: Lunge

Right-click while holding the Cutless to activate the lunge:

1. You are launched forward in the direction you are looking.
2. About 3 blocks ahead of your starting position, a fiery burst detonates with a 4.5-block radius.
3. All non-allied living entities within the burst radius take 6 damage (3 hearts) and are knocked away from you.
4. The burst is block-safe — it will not destroy terrain.
5. A 3-second cooldown applies after each lunge.
6. Each lunge costs 4 durability.

Abilities And Mechanics

• No Speed Boost — the Cutless grants no movement speed bonus.
• No Shield — no shield is summoned or granted by the weapon.
• Custom Lunge Sound — a unique sound plays when you dash.
• Visual Heft — the held model is rendered larger than a standard weapon to reflect its imposing nature.
• Cannot be repaired — no items or anvil combinations will restore its durability.
• Cannot be crafted — obtain it exclusively from the Combat creative tab.

Progression And Strategy

• Durability management is critical. With 4 durability consumed per lunge and no way to repair the weapon, use the dash selectively rather than spamming it.
• Use the lunge offensively to burst into a group of mobs, dealing 3 hearts to each enemy in the 4.5-block radius simultaneously.
• Use it defensively to escape dangerous situations by lunging away from threats.
• Fire Resistance makes the Cutless especially strong in the Nether, where fire and lava are constant hazards — you can lunge freely without worrying about burning.
• Aim slightly upward when lunging to carry yourself over obstacles, as the dash includes a small upward arc.
