Quickstart

1. Craft the Crimson Glow Pickaxe using the recipe below.
2. Hold it in your main hand — Night Vision kicks in automatically.
3. Head underground and start mining. Every block you break also clears out the surrounding 5x5 area on that face, letting you carve out huge tunnels in seconds.

Overview

The Crimson Glow Pickaxe is a top-tier mining tool built for speed and cave exploration. It combines an extremely fast mining speed with a wide-area mining effect and a built-in light source, making it ideal for strip mining, tunneling, and exploring dark caves without needing torches.

What It Adds

• Crimson Glow Pickaxe — a single powerful pickaxe item that:
  • Mines blocks at a blistering pace, far faster than even netherite tools.
  • Breaks a full 5x5 area of blocks centered on whatever you mine, instantly clearing large sections of stone, ore, or other pickaxe-mineable material.
  • Grants the wielder Night Vision automatically whenever it's held in the main hand, lighting up dark caves and mineshafts.
  • Deals solid melee damage in a pinch, though it's not designed as a primary weapon.
  • Has very high durability, able to withstand extensive mining before wearing out.

How To Use

• Mining: Simply mine any block that a pickaxe can normally break — stone, ores, deepslate, etc. The pickaxe will also break the 5x5 grid of blocks around the point of impact, oriented to match the face you're mining (so mining into a wall clears a flat 5x5 patch on that wall, mining downward clears a 5x5 floor area, and so on).
• Lighting caves: Just keep the pickaxe in your main hand — Night Vision applies continuously while it's equipped, so no caving gear or potions are needed.
• Unbreakable and unaffected blocks: Blocks that can't normally be mined with a pickaxe, or that are unbreakable (like bedrock or obsidian-tier protections), are skipped by the area effect and won't be destroyed.
• Drops: All blocks broken by the 5x5 effect drop their normal items, just as if you mined them individually.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Crimson Glow Pickaxe is crafted at a crafting table using netherite ingots, a diamond pickaxe, and a blaze rod. See the recipe below for the exact arrangement:

This is currently the only way to obtain the pickaxe — there are no other spawn methods or loot sources.
