Crimson Fire Phantom

Quickstart

• In survival, search the Nether’s Crimson Forest for a Crimson Fire Phantom.
• For a quick test in Creative mode, find its spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs inventory tab and use it on a block.
• Keep an eye on it: it flies, targets players and other living creatures, and launches fireballs at nearby targets.

Overview

The Crimson Fire Phantom is a fire-immune flying hunter that stalks Crimson Forests. It can attack from the air with fireballs and is also dangerous at close range.

What It Adds

• The Crimson Fire Phantom mob.
• A matching spawn egg for placing the mob in Creative mode.

How To Use

Use the spawn egg on a block to spawn the phantom. In survival, look for it in a Crimson Forest. It can target players as well as other living creatures, so nearby mobs may also draw its attention.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Flight: It flies without being affected by gravity.
• Fireballs: When a target is within about 28 blocks, it periodically shoots a fireball toward them.
• Fire immunity: Fire does not harm it.
• Durability: It has 26 health points (13 hearts).

Progression And Strategy

Give it room to maneuver when observing it: its fireballs let it threaten targets at a distance. Fire-based attacks are ineffective, so use other means to fight it.
