- Equip it in your hand — it appears as a glowing, rare-quality weapon.

Overview
The Crimson Compass Staff is a rare melee weapon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.93. It looks like a red staff crowned with a golden compass and carries a permanent enchantment glint. Its signature ability is a wide-area Glowing pulse that reveals every nearby creature through walls, making it a strong tool for combat awareness and hunting in darkness or dense terrain.

How To Use
- Swing at a target as you would any melee weapon. When the hit connects, two things happen simultaneously:
- The struck entity takes an extra 3 HP (1.5 hearts) of damage on top of normal weapon damage.
- A Glowing pulse radiates outward from your position, applying the Glowing status effect to every mob and player within 50 blocks in all directions for 10 seconds. Glowing outlines entities through solid blocks.
- After triggering, the staff enters a 5-second cooldown. The pulse will not fire again until the cooldown expires, though you can still swing the staff for normal melee damage during that time.
- Movement speed is slightly reduced while using (charging) the weapon, similar to a spear.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the staff at a crafting table using Gold Ingots, a Compass, and Blaze Rods:
Abilities And Mechanics
Glowing Pulse
- Radius: 50 blocks (sphere centered on the wielder at the moment of hit)
- Effect: Glowing — affected entities display a visible outline through terrain
- Duration: 10 seconds (200 ticks)
- Applies to all mobs and all players, including yourself and teammates
- Cooldown: 5 seconds between pulses
Durability & Repair
- The staff has 512 durability and loses 1 point on every successful hit.
- Repair it in an anvil using Gold Ingots or Netherite Ingots (each restores 128 durability).
Enchanting
- Accepts sword-slot enchantments (e.g. Sharpness, Looting, Unbreaking) at an enchanting table or anvil.
Progression And Strategy
- Early-game awareness: Craft it as soon as you can reach the Nether for Blaze Rods. The pulse is invaluable for locating mobs in caves or at night — one hit reveals everything around you instantly.
- Mob farms & hunting: Hit one mob in a group to highlight the entire pack, making follow-up attacks far easier.
- Multiplayer: The Glowing effect also applies to other players, which can be used for team coordination or PvP tracking.
- Cooldown management: The 5-second cooldown means you want to time your pulse hit for maximum value — wait until you're surrounded before swinging.
- Upgrade path: Enchant with Unbreaking to extend longevity, Looting to improve drops, and Sharpness to increase raw damage alongside the staff's built-in bonus.
