Crimson Chainblade

Quickstart

1. Get a Netherite Sword, a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, and a Redstone Block.
2. Use a Smithing Table to combine them into the Crimson Chainblade — see {{ cm:recipe id="938211" }}.
3. Equip the Chainblade and start attacking enemies.
4. Keep hitting the same target (or new targets) within 4 seconds of your last hit to build a combo. Watch your Health Boost stack climb with each hit.
5. Finish off an enemy for a burst of Regeneration on top of your Health Boost.

Overview

The Crimson Chainblade is a devastating one-handed melee weapon built for players who like aggressive, combo-driven combat. It hits far harder than any vanilla sword and rewards you for staying on the offensive: chaining hits together builds stacking Health Boost, and landing the killing blow grants a burst of Regeneration. It behaves like a sword in every practical sense — it can be used to block, sharpened at grindstones, repaired with netherite ingots, and enchanted like other netherite-tier weapons.

How To Use

Simply wield the Crimson Chainblade in your main hand like any sword. Attack mobs or players normally — there's no special key or ability trigger. The combo system runs automatically in the background:

• Every successful hit adds to your current combo streak.
• If more than 4 seconds pass without landing a hit, your combo resets and starts over from hit 1.
• Each hit in the combo stacks the Health Boost effect further (up to a cap), temporarily raising your maximum health.
• Killing a target while swinging the Chainblade grants an additional burst of Health Boost plus a short Regeneration effect, helping you recover between fights.

Because the blade deals extremely high damage, it can one- or two-shot most vanilla mobs, making it best suited for tough fights, bosses, or PvP where the combo payoff has time to build.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Crimson Chainblade is created by upgrading a Netherite Sword at a Smithing Table, using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and a Redstone Block as the upgrade material.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Combo Stacking: Landing hits within 4 seconds of each other increases your combo count, up to 10 stacks. Each stack increases both the strength and duration of the Health Boost effect you receive.
• Health Boost: Acts as bonus temporary hearts. The higher your combo, the more extra health you gain, and the longer it lasts (roughly 10–18 seconds depending on combo level).
• Post-Kill Regeneration: Finishing off an enemy grants a short burst of enhanced Regeneration, letting you heal quickly and immediately push into the next fight.
• Combo Reset: Pausing your attacks for more than 4 seconds resets your combo back to the start, so sustained, rhythmic attacking is key to maximizing the effect.

Progression And Strategy

Treat the Crimson Chainblade as an endgame weapon — it requires netherite gear and a smithing template to craft, putting it on par with fully upgraded netherite equipment. In combat, prioritize keeping your combo alive rather than one big hit: stringing together consecutive strikes on weak mobs before engaging a dangerous target lets you enter tough fights with a large Health Boost cushion already active. Finishing kills quickly also keeps your Regeneration uptime high, letting you fight longer without needing to retreat and heal.
