Crater Cannon

Quickstart

1. Craft the Crater Cannon at a crafting table (recipe below) — you'll find it in the Combat creative tab as well.
2. Hold the Crater Cannon and right-click to fire a high-speed rocket projectile.
3. Point it at terrain or a target, fire, and watch a massive spherical crater appear on impact.
4. Wait 2 seconds for the cooldown to expire before firing again.

Overview

The Crater Cannon is a single, devastating handheld weapon. It fires a fast-moving projectile that, on impact, instantly hollows out a colossal sphere of terrain and deals extreme damage to any entity it hits directly. It is a tool of pure destruction — ideal for creative demolition, clearing large areas, or obliterating enemies in a single shot.

What It Adds

• Crater Cannon — a one-of-a-kind weapon item with an enchantment glint, found in the Combat creative tab. Stack size is 1.

How To Use

• Right-click (use) while holding the Crater Cannon to fire a projectile in the direction you are looking.
• The projectile travels at high speed and flies in a straight line.
• On hitting any block or entity, it detonates immediately, producing an explosion effect with sound and carving a spherical crater roughly 100 blocks in radius out of the terrain.
• A 2-second cooldown (shown by the item's cooldown overlay) is applied after each shot. You cannot fire again until it expires.

Abilities And Mechanics

The detonation creates a visual and audio explosion effect at the impact point. Blocks within the sphere are removed instantly without spawning item drops, keeping performance stable even for very large craters.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Crater Cannon is crafted using obsidian, iron blocks, TNT, and a netherite ingot. The recipe is automatically unlocked when you join a world.

Tip: Gather netherite before attempting to craft — that's the hardest ingredient to obtain.

Progression And Strategy

• Aim carefully. The 2-second cooldown means a missed shot leaves you temporarily unable to fire. Make every shot count.
• Don't fire at your feet. The 100-block crater radius will engulf you along with the terrain. Stand well back or aim at a distant target.
• Bedrock floors are safe. The cannon cannot breach bedrock, so the bottom of the world (in Java Edition) will remain intact no matter where you fire.
• Use it for mega-excavation. One shot clears more terrain than thousands of TNT blocks, making the Crater Cannon extraordinarily efficient for large-scale mining or land clearing in creative/sandbox play.
• PvP/mob combat. A single direct hit deals 1,000 damage — enough to instantly eliminate any mob or player regardless of armor.
