Cobblestone Highlands

Quickstart

1. Open the Creative inventory and look in the Nature and Construction categories for the mod’s blocks:

   • Cobble Turf
   • Highland Mossy Cobblestone
   • Cobblewood Log
   • Cobblewood Leaves
   • Stonebloom

2. Place Cobble Turf to create a cobblestone-covered highland scene. While standing on it, listen for the biome’s occasional ambient sound.

3. Find the Cobble Ram Spawn Egg in the Creative inventory and use it to spawn a ram. Keep some distance: Cobble Rams can charge nearby targets.

4. Feed two adult Cobble Rams wheat to breed them. Wheat also attracts them and helps babies grow.

5. Use an empty bucket on an adult Cobble Ram to collect milk.

6. To spawn one directly with a command, use:

   /summon com_cobblestone_highlands_hh7hlovr:cobble_ram

Overview

Cobblestone Highlands is a biome-themed addition centered on rocky terrain, mossy stone, unusual cobblewood vegetation, Stonebloom plants, and Cobble Rams.

The biome’s signature surface is Cobble Turf. Walking on Cobble Turf produces a subtle highland ambience at intervals, giving the area its own soundscape.

How To Use

Building With Highland Blocks

Use the custom blocks to create rocky highland landscapes:

• Place Cobble Turf as the main ground cover.
• Mix in Highland Mossy Cobblestone for exposed stone and mossy structures.
• Use Cobblewood Logs and Cobblewood Leaves to create the biome’s distinctive trees or other decorations.
• Place Stonebloom around paths, cliffs, and stone formations. It has no collision or selection box and breaks instantly.

The blocks are available directly in the Creative inventory. You can also obtain them with commands, for example:

/give @s com_cobblestone_highlands_hh7hlovr:cobble_turf 64

Highland Ambience

The custom ambience plays when the block directly beneath you is Cobble Turf. Use Cobble Turf for paths, plateaus, campsites, or other areas where you want the highland sound to be noticeable.

Crafting And Obtaining

No crafting recipes are provided for this mod’s content.

All five custom blocks drop themselves when mined:

• Cobble Turf — mine with a pickaxe for the most suitable tool.
• Highland Mossy Cobblestone — mine with a pickaxe.
• Cobblewood Log — mine with an axe.
• Cobblewood Leaves — break quickly by hand or with a suitable tool.
• Stonebloom — breaks instantly and drops itself.

Cobble Rams can appear naturally in the Cobblestone Highlands biome or be placed using the Cobble Ram Spawn Egg.

Abilities And Mechanics

Cobble Rams

Cobble Rams are animal-like creatures with the following behaviors:

• Adult Cobble Rams have 10 health.
• They can wander, jump, climb, follow wheat, and be led with a leash.
• They can charge nearby non-ram targets, knocking them backward.
• They may attack again after a cooldown.
• They are not tameable, but they can be named and bred.
• They can also be attached to balloons.

Give them open space when keeping them near your base, especially around cliffs or ledges.

Natural Spawning

Cobble Rams naturally spawn:

• On the surface
• In groups of 2–4
• In bright conditions
• In the Cobblestone Highlands biome
• On Cobble Turf, Highland Mossy Cobblestone, stone, grass, dirt, or coarse dirt

Breeding And Babies

Feed wheat to two adult Cobble Rams to breed them. A baby follows its parent and grows into an adult naturally. Wheat can also be used to help a baby grow.

Cobble Rams can produce different ram variants through breeding, including a rarer screamer variant. Screamer rams use distinct sounds and have a shorter ram-attack cooldown, so they can be more active and dangerous around other creatures and players.

Milking

Use an empty bucket on an adult Cobble Ram to collect milk. Babies cannot be milked.

Progression And Strategy

Cobblestone Highlands has no required progression path. A good way to begin is to:

1. Create a small highland area with Cobble Turf and Highland Mossy Cobblestone.
2. Add Cobblewood trees and Stonebloom for vegetation.
3. Bring in two Cobble Rams and fence them into a spacious enclosure.
4. Keep wheat available for breeding and attracting them.
5. Use Cobble Turf in the areas where you want the biome ambience to play.

For safer ram pens, avoid narrow walkways and steep drops. Keep adult rams separated from busy paths, farms, and other animals if their charging behavior becomes disruptive.
