Chrono Totem

Quickstart

Craft a Chrono Totem shapelessly from a clock and a Totem of Undying:

Put it in your main hand or offhand. It activates automatically when you would take fatal damage—there’s no button or right-click needed. Try it in a dangerous fight: you’ll survive the blow, and the world around you will freeze for five seconds while you make your next move.

Overview

The Chrono Totem is a single-use survival item that turns a fatal hit into a brief chance to act while time is stopped for everyone else.

What It Adds

• Chrono Totem: Activates from either hand when its wearer would otherwise die. It is consumed on use, except when used by a player in Creative mode.

How to Use

Keep the totem in either hand before taking a potentially fatal hit. When it activates, you recover to full health, are extinguished, and have harmful status effects removed.

For the next five seconds, you can move and interact while other entities—including other players and projectiles—are stopped. World time, block entities, and scheduled ticks also pause during this effect. When time resumes, continue as normal.

Crafting and Obtaining

The recipe uses one clock and one Totem of Undying. It is available automatically, and the item also appears in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory.

Abilities and Mechanics

The effect lasts five seconds. The Chrono Totem is consumed when it saves its wearer, so carry another if you want protection for a later fatal blow.
