Mod Wiki
Chorus Crunch
Quickstart
- Open your crafting table and craft a Chorus Crunch using the recipe below — you'll receive 2 bars per craft.
- Place the item in your hotbar and hold the Use button (right-click / tap-and-hold) to eat it, just like any food.
- You'll immediately float upward thanks to Levitation. After 10 seconds the levitation ends and Slow Falling kicks in for another 10 seconds, bringing you safely back to the ground.
Overview
Chorus Crunch is a candy bar–style food item for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.93. It combines the teleportation-adjacent weirdness of the End biome into a tasty treat that launches you into the air and then gently floats you back down. It's an uncommon-tier food that stacks up to 16, making it a handy mobility snack for exploration or escaping tricky situations.
What It Adds
| Item | ID | Stack Size | Rarity |
|---|
| Chorus Crunch | com_chorus_crunch_55xbboag:my_sword | 16 | Uncommon |
Crafting And Obtaining
Chorus Crunch is crafted at a crafting table using Chorus Fruit, Sugar, and Cocoa Beans. Each successful craft yields 2 bars.
(Recipe shortcode shown once above in Quickstart; see that section for the crafting grid.)
Abilities And Mechanics
Eating a Chorus Crunch triggers a two-phase effect sequence:
| Phase | Effect | Duration |
|---|
| 1 | Levitation (level 1) | 10 seconds |
| 2 | Slow Falling (level 1) | 10 seconds |
- Levitation launches you straight up immediately upon finishing the bar.
- Exactly 10 seconds later the Levitation is removed and Slow Falling is applied, cushioning your descent for another 10 seconds.
- The item restores 3 hunger points with moderate saturation.
- You can only eat it when actually hungry (it cannot be eaten when full).
- The eating animation takes about 1.6 seconds, with slightly slowed movement while consuming.
Progression And Strategy
- Cliff scaling & exploration — eat a bar at the base of a tall cliff to float up, then glide down safely if you overshoot.
- Combat escape — gaining quick vertical distance can break melee engagements, and Slow Falling prevents fall damage on the way down.
- End biome synergy — Chorus Fruit is abundant after defeating the Ender Dragon, making mass-crafting easy in late-game.
- Carry a stack of 16 for repeated use; each bar is fully independent, so back-to-back eating will re-apply and stack the duration on the current phase.
