Channel Warfront
Quickstart
- Load a world with the Channel Warfront behavior and resource packs applied.
- Just play normally — every hostile mob that spawns or is nearby (zombies, husks, drowned, skeletons, strays, creepers, spiders, cave spiders, endermen, and witches) is automatically swapped out for one of three rival raider factions.
- Watch the battlefield: raiders from different factions attack each other on sight as well as attacking you.
- Every so often a fresh squad of three raiders will spawn around you and announce their arrival in chat.
- Listen for faction battle-cries shouted in local chat as raiders clash nearby.
- If you want to summon raiders directly, use their spawn eggs or the
/summon command with their identifiers (see below).
Overview
Channel Warfront turns the usual Overworld hostile mobs into a three-way war between rival raider factions: the UK Raider, the French Raider, and the Irish Raider. Instead of fighting mindless zombies and skeletons, you'll find these armed factions replacing them everywhere, fighting each other for territory as much as they fight you. The world becomes an ongoing, unscripted battlefront that plays out around you without any setup required.
What It Adds
| Raider | Identifier | Description |
|---|
| UK Raider | com_channel_warfront_g2rr5k64:uk_raider | A tough melee fighter loyal to the UK faction |
| French Raider | com_channel_warfront_g2rr5k64:france_raider | A tough melee fighter loyal to the French faction |
| Irish Raider | com_channel_warfront_g2rr5k64:irish_raider | A tough melee fighter loyal to the Irish faction |
Each raider has a spawn egg (e.g. "UK Raider Spawn Egg") and can be interacted with like other mobs. Raiders are much sturdier than the vanilla mobs they replace, hitting hard and taking real punishment before going down.
How To Use
- Automatic replacement: Any vanilla hostile mob that spawns — or that already exists near you — is silently despawned and replaced with a random raider from one of the three factions. There is no way to stop this from happening while the pack is active.
- Squad reinforcements: Periodically, a squad of three raiders spawns in a ring around each player and a chat message announces their arrival. Expect new fights to break out regularly, even if you've cleared the area.
- Faction combat: Raiders automatically target and attack players and rival faction raiders within range. UK, French, and Irish raiders are natural enemies of one another — leave them alone and they'll often fight amongst themselves.
- Battle chatter: Raiders occasionally shout faction-specific rallying cries in nearby chat (English, French, and Irish phrases), giving atmosphere to the ongoing skirmishes.
- Manual spawning: Use each raider's spawn egg, or run
/summon <identifier> with one of the three identifiers above, to place a specific faction raider anywhere you like.
Crafting And Obtaining
There are no craftable items in this mod. Raiders appear automatically in place of hostile mobs, arrive in periodic squads, or can be spawned directly using their spawn eggs or the summon command.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Health and damage: All three raider types share the same stats — sturdy health pools and strong melee attacks, making them noticeably tougher than the vanilla mobs they replace.
- Targeting: Raiders prioritize players and members of rival factions within a wide detection range, leading to spontaneous multi-way fights.
- Persistence: The replacement and squad-spawning systems run continuously in the background, so the raider war never fully stops — clearing an area only provides temporary relief.
- Roaming and idle behavior: When not in combat, raiders wander and glance around like typical villagers/NPCs, giving the impression of patrolling forces rather than static spawns.
Progression And Strategy
There's no crafting tree or unlockable content to chase — the challenge is purely combat and survival. Because rival factions fight each other as well as you, you can use their infighting to your advantage: let two factions clash and pick off survivors, or bait a squad into rival territory. Since replaced hostiles and squads keep arriving indefinitely, expect the pressure around your base or camp to build over time unless you actively push raiders back.
