Chainhook Scythe Blade

Quickstart

1. Open your inventory — the recipe is unlocked automatically when you join the world.
2. Craft the Chainhook Scythe Blade (see recipe below) and place it in your hand.
3. Left-click any enemy to deal heavy damage and instantly yank them toward you.

Overview

The Chainhook Scythe Blade is a netherite-tier melee weapon with a built-in pulling mechanic. Every attack drags the struck enemy directly toward you, making it nearly impossible for targets to flee or maintain distance. It sits in the Combat tab of the Creative inventory.

What It Adds

The damage and durability characteristics match netherite-tier tools, making it one of the hardest-hitting melee weapons available.

How To Use

• Attack — Left-click a mob or player to strike them.
• Chain Pull — Every successful hit automatically launches the target toward your position. There is nothing extra to activate; the pull triggers on every hit.
• Feedback — A chain-breaking sound plays at the target's location, and a burst of critical-hit particles appears on impact, making each pull visually and audibly distinct.

Abilities And Mechanics

Chainhook Pull After each hit, the target is launched horizontally toward you and given a slight upward boost. The pull is strong enough to close gaps quickly and interrupt retreating enemies. The effect fires server-side, so it works reliably in multiplayer.

Audio & Visual Effects

• Sound: a chain-break effect plays at the point of impact.
• Particles: eight critical-hit particles burst from the target's torso on every pull.

Progression And Strategy

• Early control tool: Because the recipe uses only iron ingots, you can craft the Chainhook Scythe Blade relatively early. Its netherite-tier damage makes it effective well into late-game content.
• Keep enemies close: The pull resets an enemy's attempt to flee every single hit, so rapid attacks chain together to hold mobs in melee range indefinitely.
• Knock-back immunity: Because the blade pulls rather than pushes, targets are brought toward you instead of being knocked away — preventing the usual gap that interrupts melee combos.
• Mob farms and duels: The pull is especially powerful against fast mobs (like Phantoms or Blazes) and in PvP situations where opponents try to kite you at range.
